^^^ as you already mentioned, it is some local gov't entity that has enacted laws now requiring that exotic dancers be licensed ... not the club, who is 'stuck' with the responsibility of operating under the law. In general, obtaining an exotic dancer's license from a local gov't entity typically involves an ID check ( thus real age check ), plus a criminal background check. If that criminal background check happens to turn up previous charges for prostitution / drugs / theft etc. the license will almost certainly be denied. Also, because the license becomes a matter of 'public record', the potential exists for any license holder's real name, address, SS# etc. to be picked up on by, for example, the CAL Franchise Tax Board, family court attorneys, potential future 'straight job' employers etc.
ya a dancer license will show up in a background check if you ever want to get a straight job.
wat is the name of this club? do you know if it is Spearmint Rhino or Deja Vu affliliated??
Is this club located in Northern or southern california?
I wonder if all california clubs are going to be requiring a license from now on - this is crazy
