Default Investing in your Scenery and Toys

I am blown away by how awesome some girls setups are. Lights, the newest coolest toys, every outfit imaginable, and fetish stuff everywhere. Its so intimidating when I log on and see how awesome the top girls are and I just have my little purple dildo and me lol. So my question is, how much do you ladies usually invest on work expenses and do you feel it makes a significant difference in your earnings?

guys say my room looks cute, i just have colorful walls, couch and curtains. none ever mention "new" cool toys really, they just ask if i have any. so many times before a show they will ask then cum before i even get a chance to use them lol. i could definitely use some more outfits but i try to have one of every color in bras, panties, skirts, shorts, dress, stockings... i don't have that full of a collection where i have one of every color but it is my goal. some guys are so particular. i used to have a customer who would only get shows with me if i was wearing ALL PURPLE...! lol.

ummm, lights are super important though! i still need to perfect mine but i got this basic lighting kit from cowboy studios (look it up on amazon) for like $50 that has 3 lamps w/ the lil umbrellas and i only ended up needing to use one (so if you can find just one or two to buy i'd recommend it.) the lights it comes with i hate, they are too white/blue and EXTREMELY bright. i put one to the left of my comp, then i have a normal standing lamp to the right that gives off a more yellow/warm hue, and that same lamp at the back of my room behind me as well. it helps a LOT - it's necessary, for sure.

I wanted to get more lights but a afraid if they're too bright I will looked washed out of they wont be flattering. Are there warmer/softer lights or is the stronger the lighting the better?

HA! I don't at all! When I first started I was just like you. To be honest I do invest in toys - i have a few of the popular US toys that are SUPER hard to get hold of here in UK so they were worth it imo because so few uk guys get to see them. But as far as set up goes, i only have my boring, tiny bedroom to cam from, and my cam is literally inches from my bed lol. The most i have is a screen behind the bed which i can occasionally put a throw over and pillows against for a change of scenery. I have really dim lighting in this old house so i've got a ton of normal shitty lamps on from ikea when i cam xx

you dont need all those gadgets and expensive decorations, guys just wanna look at you and i've found most prefer fingers to toys anyways. i spent loads of money on some expensive toys but most guys just wanna see me use my own fingers. and my bedroom has all my bf's stuff in it which i shove under the bed before camming, i have bright blue curtains - a bright orange duvet set from like the 1980's and all my furniture was donated by different ppl so its all odd - i really dont care because its a porn show its not a Beautifuls Homes show.

oh and as for lighting... I bought 3 cheapo desk lamps from B&Q for £3.99 each and sit 1 in each corner of the room and 1 infront of me.

its best not to mix blue light with orange light as it will make you a lot less flattering. use basic 3 point lighting for a big room.

to make the lights less bright, try turning it against a wall and use the light that bounces off. from memory, some yellow lightkits [dedos i think] have dimmers also.

to make a light less blue, you need this thing called a 'gel' which is like a transparent wrapping paper and clip it onto the light with WOODEN [!!!!!!] clothespegs.

if the light is too orange, do the same as above but with a blue gel.

do not light head on, try to light one side of you. most of you use smaller / average rooms, and a single lamp from a kit will provide with enough fill light. i think the problem is youre overlighting. try using less lights, move the lights further away, bounce the light of walls etc.

i was trained on pretty much all the light kits they use in film and photography. its all coming back now.

i dont think the setting would make a huge difference unless its a fetish thing. all custys gonna have different tastes. try to de clutter, nice clear space with mood lighting. try to limit colours to black white and red so it looks all luxurious and sexy!

p.s. if youre self conscious about the mismatched colours or furniture, just buy some cheap fabric or a throw for your bed and couches and hide everything you dont like.

Throws are a great investment anyways since they can be easier to wash if any fluids (bodily or otherwise) get on them.
