I have this friend who stripped exactly one time only in an amateur night. She decided that stripping was not for her (not for everyone)and gave up her dream. Ok, flash forward 10 years later. We were somewhere and the topic of stripping came up. She then blurted up that both of us were strippers. When I corrected her and said I didn't consider her a stripper, just a girl trying it out, she got mad.
I guess it bothered me because she never dealt with things that I have. She never had to go out and buy new outfits because her other ones were getting old or were ruined by things like beer. She has no idea how to hustle and doesn't know what private dances are. She thinks all you need to be a stripper is to get on stage and dance. She doesn't know about the men who become attached and think you like them as boyfriends, or the men who think stripping=whores. Maybe I am overeacting but I have seen this attitude with other would be strippers. I actually once had a contestant in an amateur contest at a club I was dancing at tell ME how she could teach me things. I suspect this is why most new dancers end up leaving the business before 6 months.
Do women like this get you mad like they do me? Btw, I once offered to take her to a party I was doing and have her waitress. She didn't like the idea of being topless.
I firmly believe that doing something one time doesn't mean you are that. Having one girl girl experience to me doesn't equal being lesbian or bi and smoking a joint one time doesn't you are a pothead.
