Default Switching to a major dive?

I'm just not making money at my old club anymore. And I got stolen from twice. Way, way too many girls, all of them hot, and little customers. Now, I was one of the prettiest girls at that club, IMO. But it's just not working.
There's a club not too far from where I live, but boy, it's a MAJOR dump. It's in the middle of nowhere. The worst I've seen so far in my entire province. The place looks like a small barn. Some of the walls look like they're made out of tin, for christ's sake. I've never been in it though, and looking at online reviews some girls said it was nice enough, and it was a semi-clean club. There's no more than 5 girls working on a friday or saturday night, and some them are quite pretty. I think I could handle that.
Honestly, I'm kind of scared about even visiting this place... And I'm not really sure what to expect. Does anyone have any advice about working in a place like this?

Try it out. If you're nervous, bring a friend. Scope out the club as a client on a weekend night so you know there's some money there. And be very very nice to the girls who work there

Don't ever attempt to judge a book by it's cover! I have had some of the best experiences at dive bars=) Just go in open minded. Who knows?--You might end up really liking it there.

x3 on what the other ladies have posted. There's usually something awesome about unpretentious dive bars and their unpretentious clientele - you likely won't encounter the douchebag who dons his suit to go to the club and nurse one beer all night.

You guys are right. I think I'll just call and start working soon. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work... no harm done.
I do hope customers are there to spend! Seems like there's no point going to a place like that, except to see the dancers. So that should be a good thing.

My current club is full of young people who act like I'm the one in the wrong for even approaching them. I definitely CANNOT work there anymore. It's really taking a toll on my self esteem, when guys won't even say "Hello" back when you speak to them! Or look at you like with that... look. But they sure gawk and cheer when I'm on stage! Fucking freeloading assholes.

I work in a legit DIVE bar in the middle of no where. You'll find that when guys come in, they are there purely for dances (they didn't drive outta their way 30 min for nothing). Also, the guys are a lot nicer (even if they say no) then in some cities where you get "I don't PAY for girls"--gag.

If you've never even been in there, don't judge it just yet. My old club was what some would call a "dive," and in some sense it is. It's small (though I think there was a lot of remodeling done and new poles and a VIP room finally put in after I left), and it's the only club for an hour each way. People here make fun of it like it's such a skeezy place, but I never had a problem there. The managers were nice and mostly fair, the tip-outs were low, the girls were nice and mostly hot, and besides the jank poles and lack of VIP it was not a sketch place to work at like everyone thinks. Granted, there are definitely nicer clubs in the state, but this place wasn't a festering crackhead compound like people tried to say it was... People who have never even been in there will talk shit about the place and say that they've heard you can get "anything you want in there." If they had ever stepped foot inside that club, they'd know it's so small and circular that you can literally see everything that is going on in every corner of the club from wherever you're standing, and it is impossible to get away with anything. I'm not sure how their VIP is set up now and if someone watches a camera to make sure nothing funny goes on in there or what... but it's just so stupid to hear the ridiculous things people come up with to make fun of SCs. I've only stepped foot inside one legit dive in this state - most places are not as bad as they're made out to be in "urban legend."

I switched from an upscale gown club with a full bar, the best girls, etc etc to a small dive club with no bar or anything. It's nice because you keep all your money instead of worrying about ridiculous fees and tipouts, and they treat me more like an independent contractor than an employee. The upscale place gets really busy, but it's fake busy- guys come in for the wing specials, to watch the game, whatever... at the dive place you come to see strippers and that's it. One of the hardest things about making the switch is overcoming the mindset- you want to be able to say that you work at the best and most upscale club or whatever even though the dive may be a better and more lucrative fit for you. Good luck and I hope it all works out for you!

Thanks everyone! I'm also relying a lot on being the 'new girl' since it's such a tiny club. Even at my bigger club I still made quite a lot of money when I was new, since it does have it's regulars who noticed me.
Right now I'm really hoping is that it's a clean club, or at least halfway clean.

I worked there today! There was only one other dancer... and she was pretty scary. The place is actually really classy and great inside. I was suprised.
The only guys there were regulars... only about 5-10 people came in all night... it is a tuesday though. It's more of a bar than a strip club, but I still made a lot of money! Whether it's because of my looks, hustle or newbie-ness, idk, but I'm happy.
Lots of guys told me I was the hottest girl they'd seen working there in years, whether that's true or not idk but it's certainly not unlikely. Actually almost every guy I talked to seemed to own or manage a company of some kind, landscaping, construction, etc. and seem to have a lot of money to waste. So glad I went!
I am a little weirded out though. So few dancers, in a pretty nice club. Even if it is in the middle of nowhere, it's still odd. I guess we'll see.
    Thanks for the encouragement yay!

I love dive clubs! While there is something to be said for finding the businessman who wants champagnes all night, there's also something to be said for dive bars where the blue-collars come in looking for a dance and a beer.
