Unfortunately, yes, they can.

fack. someone sent a good chunk of $ for videos...I don't want to send them and have him chargeback. Any ideas?

Chargebacks happen on ALL payment processors. People can always claim their card was stolen and get refunded regardless. The only time you don't have to pay chargebacks are usually through most cam sites because the cam site ends up paying them for you (unless its fraud obviously).

No way to stop it sorry. Take screen shots of any communication and save email etc, most likely wont do any good.
Just hope AP's chargeback system is good. I havent heard of one yet so they are doing something right.
If its a legit chargeback then theres nothing anyone can do, its just how it is.

UPDATE- So I check my alertpay this morning because I was paranoid all nite about him asking Alertpay for a refund or whatever, and I saw an email from Alertpays fraud prevention department asking what my relationship with the guy was and what the payment was for. What do I say?! I shouldn't have taken his money for vids, I knew better but I spent the last two weeks sick and not able to cam, so his few hundred sounded good....fml. I need halp!!!

is alertpay ok with adult transactions? or no?![]()

I thought they were okay with adult transactions..just as long as u don't display their button on ur webpage.????? right???

I thought they allowed it too, they set up DP for us. Its all adult transactions, site, email address etc all have adultworkwebcammers.co.uk in them.

Lets just hope a business account was opened.

so I should be ok right? I have a business account and it was just for videos...I sent them via yousendit, so I have proof that they were sent to his email address (same email that he used to pay me via alertpay)...gah I'm so panicked lol. I really need that $$.![]()

Yeh you should be ok, I'd tell the truth with AP.

I think there's a lot of misunderstanding about this. They are not approving adult sites but you can actually use the buttons on your site like before. They just will not work with credit cards. Guys have to open an alertpay account and add funds from a bank account. (Most won't though).
You do have to open a business account and choose Adult Related Services though, because they take a higher percentage of your money for this since it is high risk (like any other adult processor). I think some were trying to get past this and not pay the extra percent from their funds.
I really wish they hadn't stopped taking credit cards though. That really makes it useless for the majority of buyers.
