Just curious if any of you ladies have built any businesses or if anyone is considering it. Also- how did you come up with the idea or how did you go through the process? My business actually started out as a college project that I went ahead and followed through with. I have an LLC selling gowns, outfits, shoes, XPoles, etc. I started out selling in clubs to fellow dancers and at parties by request and have just recently started online. We're small, but centered around customer service and will do as much as we can to find what our customers ask us for.

Everyday brings new challenges and it's taken a lot of work to get as far as we have. Going through all we've gone through has really given me so much respect for those who have started their own businesses, stuck with it, and are successful. Would love to know about and support any SW member businesses.

Well I've thought of things that I could do aside from camming since I can't cam during the day. (im a mommy) So I would like to start making jewelry and selling it. Which I'm not expecting anything more than just some few bucks here and there doing that. But it would be a nice hobby. My main goal is to own my own tanning salon. I came close once but didn't think I was quite ready. (and I wasn't ) lol So I eventually will do that and still cam always as long as my looks let me.

Years ago I started a party agency. It did ok for a few years but eventually it failed because there was too much competition. I was getting jobs but I found I couldn't compete with the bigger agencies so I folded it and just went word of mouth. I found that with all the expenses I was making only a small profit.

Right now I do freelance marketing, training and computer classes. I'm not making the same mistakes but at least with this it's just me.

I thought this was going to be a thread for the not-well-endowed guys to show off their stuff.

Well this isn't uncovered but here's a photo of my ex's crotch. He has little there and I can laugh at him now. I've named this photo "nothing there"

operating my own adult website and webcam ... 'killed' by rising online adult credit card processing costs, Section 2257 law passage, the advent of 'paid' search engine placement etc.

operating my own non-adult website selling 'home-made' specialty soaps and lotions ... 'killed' by stricter FDA testing / tracking regulations, rising insurance costs against product liability lawsuits, etc.

    LOL @ 'small business'

Stacii, what kind of jewelry? I know a few girls from my college make a decent amount of side cash selling jewelry on Etsy.

Emma, good luck! I would advise against selling shoes if you want to remain as stress free as possible... lol.

It seems like they make it so hard for small business to succeed sometimes. My professors suggested I look into grants for small businesses and women entrepreneurs but I'm not so sure that the nature of my business would even qualify...

i read this great book on female small business owners in b&n. i think there were two volumes. i'm sorry i can't remember the title but it was in the business/sales section and it was all about making your sb a success, time management, finding new clients, learning how to expand your network. GREAT read. i hope all of you have much success!

Over a year ago I used to sell genuine vintage clothing on Etsy, and made a decent amount of money from it but not enough to live off. I've always loved thrifting, going to flea markets, etc. and I'd find some really amazing things. I enjoyed turning my hobby into cash, before Etsy got over saturated and I didn't have the time for it. Hopefully once all my finances are back in order I can do it again.

Dizzy My life is "all" business

    besides photography,

I run a real estate investment/rental/dealer business. BIG (relative, I double my small $10k investment a few times a year) EASY money in tax sales.

    real estate management/maintenance

I do training in real estate.

Launching a few websites for fun, might turn to money.
CellPhoneStories.com - posting / sharing site for single to 4 image stories (no words, all images). How good are you with your point and shoot?

    DandelionStories.com - lullaby/ baby story sharing site

    and for the (future) money....

Aplacetogrow.tv (coming in about a week) free websites for businesses, social network, place for artists and "cub" reporters to post stories about their community.

Makeitsexy.com (coming soon) .... similar to above, for people who think they are/are/want to be sexy social network, primarily

whew. plus proud father of a 16 month old.

Sorry for the links....hope no one sees that as spam. You asked
