Default So I have a “pouch”?! Hiring?

I started dancing in NYC 4 1/2 years ago. The last club I worked at was Ricks, but I have not worked for about 15 months. I had a beautiful body, yes, I’ve had a baby, but that was almost 10 years ago so, I nursed, as well, so my belly returned almost exactly to its previous appearance by the time I started dancing. During that whole time, NO ONE ever commented on its size, bulge, etc. They would actually act astounded when they found out my small frame carried for 9 mo.

Last night i auditioned again for the 1st time in over a year and was told to come back after I lost my “pouch” in 2 weeks (won’t name club publicly).

Until then, I need some recommendations for “pouch” friendly clubs!

While I was on my sabbatical, I took Cymbalta that BLEW up my gut. That was in January though, and I have since gotten off of it. It also blew up my ass. I am 5’5” w/o my heels and before the weight gain due to the drug, i weighed between 107 − 114 lbs, depending on muscles or extra weight fluctuation.

Now I weigh 124lbs :’( !!!!! But am steadily losing my weight since stopping the med. I have been doing all sorts of belly toning exercises and I am showing results fast. Most of the weight is in my butt and legs (which is wonderful cuz I can get chicken legs if my weight is too low), and of course my boobs are almost a C now-having trouble fitting into my long-time B cup bras. The extra weight is hardly in my stomach at this moment.

So if you’re still reading this, God bless you, and I ask if you could recommend any clubs that don’t require a concave or wall-straight belly. I’ve gotten to the point where I have a slight curve there and a lot of guys dig that. PLUS, I CAN SUCK IN AND THERE IS DEFINITION TO MY BELLY NOW.
Quick measurements: waist is 29”, and hips, measured around the biggest part of my ass is 38”. I’m still a 34, up top.

Thank you to all who can offer the best places to work while I get back to a MORE defined stomach. Need to work, like, tonight.

Hi, try G2000 in Queens. Its very comparable to manhattan clubs, and more relaxed.

^ How tall are you? I think if you lose weight all over you'll be fine. My friend whose 5'10 was 150 was told to lose wight and come back but the earlier manger let her work and at night that's what tito told her......she came back with me and lost 20 pounds he hired her immediately and didn't recognize her and asked her why it said terminated in the system. Lol.

It's interesting how we all carry our weight differently. I'm also 5'5 but would not look right at your target weight of 107-114. My best weight is around 120. Good luck reaching your goal. In the meantime you might grow to like the temp club you choose better.

Yeah, I was thinking about that club, but I’m scared of outer-borough clubs b/c I always here skanky things about them.
I’ll look it up in the reviews section - but do you know anything more like about the type of clientele, earning potential, lapdance style? What I really liked about the club I auditioned for is that there is very little contact on the floor and the hosts keep the guys off you. Cuz, really, how else would you sell a VIP? (w/o extras!)

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, Rick’s is a ship that sailed looong ago. They won’t take me back (::hint:: lawsuit). So, I guess I burned that bridge.

I’m 5’5” barefoot. The thing is I really don’t HAVE to lose weight all over - just tone my damn belly. I have curves now, which I never had before. I feel more womanly . And I don’t mean curves in a “fat” way. I am almost, with all the belly firming I’m doing, achieving an hourglass figure. I put my measurements above, too; my bra size is 34 B/C, smallest part of my waist is 29” and the circumference of the largest part of my hips and butt is 38”. I don’t know is that bad or awkward? It’s the part between my waist and hips (bellybutton area) that needs to lose, like, maybe 2 inches - when I’m not sucking in AT ALL it’s 33”.
That’s so gross… at least that’s how the housemom made me feel. But when I flex my abs, they look great (which I totally forgot to do at audition cuz it was so rushed), so I know the prize is just below a thin layer of fat, I guess. Which is BULLSHIT, b/c I see girls working with a little lump like that often! And as soon as I start dancing again, it will be perfect, constantly using all those muscles.
    Ah, Ricks…fun times.
    Like it there?

^ I travel to work all over so I haven't been there in around 8 months.....I do like it there though it's just too damn expensive to go alone(since my friends are all afraid they wont get hired) and I make as much in other areas.....I'll be back though. Sounds like maybe just do some cardio and eat really healthy because you can't just lose in the belly without loweing your body fat all over. Oh and yeah there are tons of thick girls and girls with bellys ( ricks too) those girls have just been there forever they're more strict when you are auditioning. Good luck!

The clientel is no different than manhantan. Its a lot easier to sell dances and to up the sale to a vip instead. Visit it as a guest first and see if you like the atmosphere. The area is honestly is fine, its near the train so you get a lot of random people who don't like the stress of the city, the cost of the city and ppl traveling home from work. Its nice. There is cameras everywhere, even in the vips. If they see you doing extras you be tossed. I am a good friend of management even after I left. The bouncers are amazingly nice, house mom Nanaa is friendly and sooo everyly helpful nice way, DJ Andy is a great DJ but you must tip him extra not a dollar extra like a good ten to twenty on top. He always is willing to help you find groups, spenders, and really funny once he warms up to you.

Competion is like fierce! The customers do get attached to a certain look, race, nationality and circle of friends. This never bothered me. You have to stand out, just like any other club. Don't bother with amazing stage shows, you will see what I mean. Just smile when your up there and be flirty and look deeply into some peoples eyes that helps a lot. Most customers won't touch you, there's a bouncer in the dancing areas too at all times! Tip them well too! I had some bouncers even find me customers on dead like nights. Remember not flirting but be nice and be concsiously aware they are too at work and don't need shit from these girls.

Drama runs high in this club. Just stick to yourself. People will hate on you stupid reasons and even will make up rumors to get the upper hand. Its lame but its what some do. I have met some amazing dancers here, and some might still be there. I loved this club. This club has been amazing to me, if I could move back to NY I would jump ship and go work there.

If you don't like this club, try Flash. Its alright, but housemoms a biatch! Hope this helps. Good luck!

I know, I am interested, too.

BUT… just an update: I LOST 4 INCHES OFF THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF MY BELLY (well, what WAS the thickest part of my midsection)!!!
I also lost about 7 lbs!
I did this kick-ass program that I found online. MY belly is totally flat, I can’t believe it!!!

I finally got hired, too. Not as my 1st choice club (haven’t even gone back there yet) but it will do for now. I can get my confidence back, and know I’ll get hired anywhere now if I end up not being happy where I am now.

Thank you all for your support! And thanks especially to ladyambition for you thorough description of G 2000!

Good going girl!!! I just went to the doctor and noticed those cinnamon rolls are starting to catch up! So I'll use your example as inspiration!

After much research, I went to a site called, “Truthaboutabs.com.”

You get to try it for 21 days, and after that, if you’re satisfied, it only costs around $20-$30 for a “book” that you download and print out that’s about 150 pages. It covers eating habits (I learned a lot), from actual exercises, with pictures, that take you from the beginners workouts all the way to the expert ones.

I swear by it. And, I believe it was worth every penny!

You gotta be disciplined, though, follow the directions, and as you can see from my previous posts, I worked at it like at MANIAC! Since, as I said, above, it took me only 2 weeks to see DRASTIC results. But I was completely obsessed and determined, so it IS possible - which I found to be amazing that this program allowed me to flatten my belly soooo fast.

Check it out, if it’s something you’re looking to do - and I would love to hear your feedback!

    Good luck, girls
