Default Going to work in a horrible mood

I've got a terrible migraine, my club has been slow as hell and I do NOT feel attractive. At all. I reeeeaaaalllly don't want to go to work, but I've been off for 3 days already so I need to go make some cash. Competition's been stiff and guys have been major pricks....so how do I motivate myself to go AND get into the right money making mode?

Btw, I'm also really pissed off at men in general and if I hear ONE more time, "oh, why would I buy a dance when I can get laid for free?" I'm going to explode.

are there any pros to going in? you've mentioned the bad but is there a chance work will be nice tonight? any friends working? want to get out of the house? getting fat and need the exercise? want to try out a new sales pitch?

otherwise, you may join me for pizza in bed.

Pizza in bed sounds heavenly...the only pro to working is I know I won't get out of this rut until I have a decent night. I need to make up for Saturday; I only made 50 bucks, which was my own fault, admittedly. Anyway....we also have schedules and we have to work 4 days a week....if we don't call off, we have to pay 35 bucks and I've been calling off a lot. Soooo, better go in so I don't get fired.

This sounds corny but I go back and re-read Hustle Hut. I go back to the posts from like 6 or 7 years ago. I feel that's when I feel some of the best advice was given. Sometimes you just need a refresher course to get you motivated to go to work.

Weirdly, I tend to have really good nights when I arrive in a bad mood. When I just don't give a crap, it seems like my insecurities disappear... If that doesn't tend to work for you, try forcing a smile the whole way to work -- it sounds stupid, but there have been studies that show that just smiling like an idiot tricks your brain into thinking you're in a better mood.

And ask yourself: What's the worst that can happen? You'd be in a bad mood/worried if you stayed home anyway; might as well try and make some money.

These end up being the best nights somehow. Just push through and you will be glad you did!

Eeeehhh....I made exactly enough money to tip everyone out and left empty handed. And I spent $ on a new outfit and cosmetics, hoping it would make me feel better, therefore increase my income....idk. I'm in a terrible rut. All I've wanted to do all night is sit at the bar and bitch. The worst part is, a lot of girls did REALLY well.....including one that's terribly pock marked, wears no makeup and looks like they plucked her out of a crack house. Sorry; that's harsh, but it sucks. Anyway, I'm trying to stay optimistic. The good news is, it's my fault, which means I have the power to change it. If other girls are making money, especially ones who aren't stunningly gorgeous, then I can too.

you sound like me this year
what you really need is a break. either a few days/weeks off dancing, or taking up a hobby like dance classes or a language course or something. i sounded like this when i was basically all work then sleep no fun nothing.

just go sit in the sun with a sundae. itll do wonders.

if im in a shit mood like that i usually get worse at work and still make no money. better to just take the night off, go to a spa and feel better

I sooo wish I could afford to take a break probably won't happen until after the holidays though. Sometimes a few days off is magnificent, but it can also backfire when the time to go to work rolls around. I wish my club didn't make us work 4 days...if I could come and go as I please, that would be so awesome.

What Kaia Rose suggested, also read the law of attraction thread.
