Yes people always ask me what are you and it gets really really annoying to answer to "what are you" 50 times a night! So I understand how you feel. They know I'm white/asian but want me to break it down to the individual countries! Sometimes they dont even see the asian and don't believe me too. So annoying!

I go through this with my height. "Wow, you're so tall. How tall are you?...Oh no you must be taller than that." Blah blah blah. It got old after about the second day.

It may be annoying, but take advantage of it! Tons of guys want the "exotic" girl, and you can get away with saying you're something you're not.

I get asked what race I am, too. I'm pretty much white/Hispanic, but for some reason a lot of people have asked if I'm Asian or Hawaiian. Sometimes I wear flowers in my hair or use eyeliner to make my eyes more angular, to play it up. Gotta work whatcha got!

I get asked "what are you" all the time. I get mistaken for Filipina, Korean, Italian, Chinese, Native American you name it.

Nowadays when I get the "what are you" I reply that I am an extraterrestrial possessing the body of the young woman that they see.

I've seen "non-exotic" looking girls getting asked what they are as well so I don't think it's too uncommon. And they'll say Irish and Italian or something. I also ask customers what they are when they ask me what I am. lol.

I get asked this question all the time. I like it though, it used to bother me as a kid but now I kind of love it. Its like I am the mystery flavor lollipop. I pretty much standout where ever I go, which is nice bc I don't like to blend in. Where it more so bothers me is when it comes to relationships, I get this ''madme butterfly" effct thing where men expect me to be thier perptual '' exotic fantasy'' and even then, at the end of the day its thier deal not mine.

I'm not exotic at all .. i'm 100% WHITE.. but people still ask me this all the time..

they just ask what country i'm from and always ask if i'm swedish..

I'm Norweigen and to me that isn't too exciting but a lot of customers find that sexy i guess!

i naturally have auburn hair and am very pale, but every time my hair is done black, people ask me that same question (esp if ive been tanning) . even those facial recognition things (where you put in pictures of yourself to find people that look like you) turn up 75% asian women for my matches. lol

People ask me what I am more than they ask me what my name is. I think they just want an answer to settle that great internal debate they are having with themselves--but it obviously doesn't mean that they like me or anything, because they usually don't want to talk to me further, lol

I'm sure everyone in any strip club gets this question alot though. It makes sense, men are seeing us naked and I'm sure they have pre-meditated stereotypes about the way a certain ethnicity should look, especially naked...i.e. 'all asian women have small boobies'.

I'm Mexican, American-Indian and Irish.. My sperm donor is Mexican, my grandpa was native american and my grandma was Irish. However, Mexicans have a bad stigma attached to them in this part of WI so I tell people I'm Brazilian... lol.. Hey, they believe me!

I am pretty much European (strong possibility of Native American or Hispanic), but get asked this all the time. I have dark hair, eyes and skin. People have often thought I was Native American or Hispanic or many other countries. I've been asked if I am Italian, Greek, Arab and pretty much any non blonde culture. I have had blonde friends who were asked if they were other countries so I think it's just guys being curious.

i'm a typically white girl but i get this on occasion. i find it strange as i'm not mixed but people always tend to want to know my heritage... and i really don't think i have a certain look that screams "i have an interesting heritage"
but yes you should definitely use it to your advantage, we have a girls whos black/asian (stunning!) and men flock to her. men love the exotic looks and bonus if you have an accent, we have a few russian girls and while its very hard to speak with some of them men eat it up.

Ha, I have been Brazilian more times than I can remember, it's what people want to hear. When I first started some guy waved me away all horrified after asking me if I was Brazilian and me saying I was in fact half Caribbean...so I usually stuck with being whatever they hoped I would be.(I made sure I did a bit of research on Brazil and also told people I was adopted just in case they had more knowledge of Brazil or wondered why I didn't speak Portuguese).
Men are so stupid though, the whole reason their fantasy Brazilians look the way they do is because of their mixed blood including Afro-Caribbean so why being half-Jamaican was an issue...?

Same as above I hated all the guesses at my ethnicity as a kid but don't care at all anymore, I agree with the other posts, just milk it.

As a child, I was picked on really badly for looking different. I have brown skin and green eyes. Now, it is working to my advantage as people think I am either Middle Eastern or Brazilian.

Oddly, several other people thought so too, along with being petite. Nope, I am dark haired, dark skinned and no petite.
