    Default Payoneer and gas station

I am so worried about getting my payoneer card declined. That's embarassing especially when there's a line behind you!

Anyway, I have $28.15 on my payoneer card right now. If I go inside and tell the guy to put $28 in gas will it get declined? Or should I just put $25? I'm not sure how close you can get to the amount of money left on your card before it declines you.

    Thanks

    I've done 115 when I had 117.

    Hey,

I'm sorry I can't reply to the other thread, as it's in the Camming Connection section I don't have access to post there.

What I wanted to point out is that your Payoneer card is a debit MasterCard, and as far as the merchant is concerned there is no technical reason the Payoneer card would be declined because it's a Payoneer card. It works just like any other debit MasterCard card.

That being said, the card is prepaid, which means you cannot charge more than what you have available. Unless there is a technical error with the merchant, which is rare, the only time your card will be declined is if you try to charge more than what you have available.

You can check your balance via your My Account page, and also call our CS team at any time if you're not by your computer. If for any reason you are unsure of the exact balance or just want to be safe, try charging a couple dollars less that what you have.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free.

    Thanks,

    Hey Guys,

I just wanted to update you all in regards to this issue.

As a prepaid debit card, the Payoneer card requires a pre-authorization charge of at least $75.00 to be made by the automated pumps at a gas station in order to allow the transaction.

When you go to the pump, it will display how much of a pre-authorization charge it will be making prior to the actual payment. If it is less than $75.00, the charge will not be allowed and you will be required to go inside and pay directly at the cashier.

Hope that helps to clear things up.

    Thanks,

OMG, I know you what you mean! That shit IS embarassing!

I really think that if you attempt $28 in gas, it will get declined. That amount (15 cent difference) is just too close. I think you should go with $25 instead.

EDIT: I'm just now noticing that this is a somewhat old thread. My bad.

^ also, keep in mind, the pre-authorization charge only counts when you're at the pump (which is why you should NEVER use a prepaid card at a pump as they will hold money whereas they won't on a bank card.)

If you walk inside and give the clerk your card and have him run it for the exact amount, this will not happen.
