Default Is this a good food plan to help lose weight?

I've decided that excersise alone wont help me shift the extra baggage ive picked up in the last 6months. Obvious i know, but i was kinda hoping it would lol i love food.
So ive decided to only eat the following
    *raw fruit and veg
    *chicken
    *fish
    *water.

So im cutting out dairy (allergic to it anyway but i love cheese! lol)
and only going to drink water, no more energy drinks at work either
and i want to cut out caffeen.

I like to do a lil bit of zumba and i pole dance, but planning on doin alotta walking too (mainly to save money on taxis)

Is this a good food diet for losing weight, and is there anything else that can help me lose the weight an also get a healthy body back?

    xx

I don't know exactly your goals but the foods you have chosen are clean. My approach to eating is simple, look for foods that you like & are clean that agree with your system. Then eat for the amount of activity for that day, food as fuel. A example would be, if I was to train legs I would eat more slow burning carbs as opposed to if I was sitting at my desk all day; I would eat more protein & less carbs.

Every day is different, so why would you eat the same way every day? Diets are for people that do not know how to eat, you can eat fats & carbs its all timing.

The relationship with food is the key?

Ive cut out all drinks and only drank water a few times and that alone with exercise I lose tons and look wayyyy better. In a matter of days all my wrinkles disappear and my skin looks so much better. But its really hard to maintain because its so boring. Try and find some caffeine free herbal tea so you can at least have a little flavour once in a while or put fruit in your water once in a while too.

As far as the food you would def lose weight and probably feel better but I agree with unbelievable ... it will get really boring sometimes. Try and pick up a healthy cook book for ideas of how to mix it up so you don't get bored. Or try giving yourself a manageable goal at first ie. Im going to stick to this for 3 weeks. Im an all or nothing person so if I cheat once during the day I end up losing that entire day and probably the next day too messing up my diet. But if I give myself smaller goals - "I won't cheat for 2 weeks" I can achieve it then have a cpl cheat days and start again. I guess it depends how strong your willpower is but if Im strict for 2 weeks I see results and that then motivates me.

^^really good points, small goals with a reward. I always gave my clients cheat days after a couple of weeks of hard work.

Its sounds very clean. No calorie drinks is a good one.

I don't know a lot about this topic, but one thing I've heard raved about is the Glycemic Index book..

Glycemic index is a great tool, how carbs affect your system.

To be fair, losing weight is a simple process.

Bodybuilders have this down best of all though. Exercise for strength and muscle size, diet for fat loss.

Your choice of foods are fine but it won't make any difference if you are consuming excess calories.

! pound of fat is 3500 calories so you would need to have a deficit of 500 a day for 7 days (a week) to lose 1 pound. Its that simple. I could give you guidelines and rules or methods to do this as I am good at losing weight when I want to but I've done enough.

Btw glycemic index is a good tool but its not the fundamental tool. Its only accessory, its good to be used once you know what you are doing at losing weight.

Glycemic index simplye refers to the speed of sugar release and thus how long food keeps you full for or how much of an insulin response it triggers. Any athelte should know this stuff.

Clean eating is great for your body, and really helps to keep your energy up. Especially ditching grains and dairy Don't forget about the importance of healthy fats too! Nuts, olive oils, and the occasional bit of red meat isn't going to hurt you. You may even want to check out the "paleo" or caveman approach to eating...nothing we wouldn't have eaten 10,000 years ago. Veggies, Fruits, Nuts, Meats, etc. Always makes me feel great!
