well im not from the uk...but i know a stone is 14 lbs
so it would be 7lbs...i think lol

Thank you, Tatter Tots! I am reading about the maple syrup diet and I kept reading about losing a stone or a half stone. I'm not sure why but I thought it was a UK term.I learn something new every day!

It is a british term - or technically, an imperial measurement. (As opposed to metric)
And hottie is correct - half a stone is 7lbs, a stone is 14lbs.
Side note - I think that the diet you are referring to is the mastercleanse? Word of warning - that landed my friend in hospital. Crash diets and extreme dieting is a BAD idea.

Totally up to you babe, obviously! But I've just seen people DAMAGE themselves so badly on this kind of crap...is it really worth 7lbs? I can give you a diet and excercise plan that will lose you 7lbs in a couple weeks, and you won't risk destroying your liver function and ending up on dialysis when you are 35...

^^^ The basics are honestly pretty simple:
- Eat a small amount every few hours (boosts metabolism)
- Keep moving throughout the day (same thing)
- Don't eat sugar (or sweeteners, especially that chemical crap!!)
- Don't eat wheat, and minimize grains - I mean, REALLY minimize grains. (I'm allergic, so this was really easy for me!!)
- Avoid potatoes. Get your carbs and starch from other root veg - carrots, sweet potatoes, turnips, etc etc.
- Don't drink alcohol
- Drink a shit ton of water
- Minimize dairy
- Cut out anything processed. Cook all your food from scratch, at home.
- Work out (mix up your muscle groups, stretch properly, add cardio, and make sure you are resting enough)
- Sleep 6-8 hours a night
- Decrease your stress
- Take a good vitamin complex
The amount of weight you will lose right off the bat depends on your lifestyle before you start. IF you have a really crappy diet and never excercise, you can drop about a lb a day. Honestly though, go for 2-3 a week - it puts less stress on your body.
Its funny, losing weight is really, really simple. But it takes actual effort and time and work, and thats why people resort to stuff like cleanses. Trust me, at age 50, you will be thin and gorgeous and glowing, and crash dieters will look haggard in comparison!!!

My weight loss go to is nothing but salad with veggies and eggs, chicken breast, cheese.... can eat that all day and still drop pounds
