I'm on my second day of this.
I hate the salt water flushes more than I used to but it might just be because it's only the first couple of days.
Feeling good though. Not hungry. I'm already at the 40 hour mark, and the first couple of times, the 36 hour was the hump mark to get over, not from being hungry but wanting to go out to a restaurant.
It's a little bit easier since I'm travelling so I'm not with my boyfriend who would just bitch about "oh my god-- that smells bad!" or "how can you drink that! it's nasty!" Ugh. I love him, but for a man who did two tours and saw a lot of shit go down, he is a fucking PANSY when it comes to trying alternative health type stuff, especially swallowing pills or drinking stuff like black strap molasses or diatomaceous earth.
So! I'm on my own and I'm doing it and I'm hoping to go longer than the longest time I've gone (16 days.) I'm not holding myself to that, as I tend to think anytime I'm cleansing is a good thing and once I start stressing about doing it for x amount of time, then I start to hate doing it.
Whole Foods by me is selling fresh squeezed unpasteurized lime and lemon juice with no additives, so I got that. It's a nice change to not have to squeeze the limes or lemons, though there is some pulp in it and that's technically a no-no.
I am also excited because I didn't know that diabetics can use blackstrap molasses-- and while the taste sucks, I'll take anything that I can change up with the maple syrup since after awhile it's tiresome to drink the same thing over and over again-- same thing with doing limes this time, which I think I only tried once during my first and second times and stuck mainly to lemons. Plus I think there's tons of good stuff in BSM. I was using it a couple of weeks ago to counteract the clogging affects of Diatomaceous earth, and found when my period rolled around five days ago, it was a lot lighter. I'm curious to see how this next period will be if I supplement with it nearly daily, rather than just a week before my period.
Anyway, if anyone else wants to do the master cleanse, holler! Otherwise I'm sure no one's going to want to hear the gross, disgusting or otherwise banal details of bowel movements, detox symptoms, and calorie and ounces of water counting.
