Have you ever done it? Do you think you could get away with doing it every night you work? Just curious! I love jazz and find it super sexy.

Anything in particular like older? Not technically jazz (well not this version)but I have danced to Putting on the Ritz. If you want to go older Minnie the Moocher is a great stripping song and reminds me of a burlesque dancer.

I suppose it depends where you work and the demographics of the customers. At my club we get a lot of young guys so I don't think it would really be appreciated. Definitely would help to differentiate you though!
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
thanks! Good to know. do you think most people running the club would let you get away with it? Or do they make you use certain types of music?

I really think it would depend on the manager and probably the other music they play (depends if the dj can blend it in with the rest of the regular music).
Having said that if you can get them to let you give it a go and you get a good response from the crowd on the first night, I'm sure they'd let you keep using it.

I've seen girls dance to Michael Bublé and Ella Fitzgerland (Fever, to be specific) and it tends to go over well - of course, they pick the right crowd (daytime or early evening with older dudes, not rambunctious drunk college kids) and the only music restriction we have is no rap. Really depends on the club and the crowd, but if it makes you feel sexy then rock out.

a girl at my club dances to a jazz set in a gown each night- but only one set. i think it works for her, and it is a nice change from everyone else's dancing. she is phenomenal at pole work though, so customers are occupied watching her pole tricks.. typically we get lots of college guys so they want us doing floorwork right in from of them, but they seem to enjoy the jazz in very small doses with excellent polework

I can't speak for jazz itself -but I dance to blues & it goes over really well (never once had a problem). I've also seen girls dance to Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra. The only thing I would make sure to do is to match your look & style to the music -don't wing it if you plan on making it your permanent thing, you know.
Good Luck!
