I think it's different for everyone. Brazilian Bikini wax is a 4 on a 1-10 scale for me and I get them done every month.

I used to get brazilians and I found they were so painful the first few times then you just kind of get used to it and it becomes a lot less painful.

Hard to wax if you're stripping though.

If you have had kids I doubt you'll find it painful. I think it's 3/10 and I have never had kids or broke a bone. It's less painful than a tattoo.

I know ppl who find it excruciating & others that find it a breeze. Thankfully I'm one of the ones that find it virtually painless. It all depends on your pain tolerance & how coarse your hair is.

    Why is that?

The hard to wax when you're stripping part? Basically because you have that awkward week where the hair's there but too short to wax. Won't matter unless you're fully nude.

So in your experience, do you find that shaving is the best option, then?

I shave but I suppose I'm lucky because I never get razor burn or irritation from it.

I use these http://www.gillettevenus.com/en_US/p...0_meet_proskin with the moisture on the outside of the blades which helps a lot avoiding razor burn imo.

The process sounds quite painful. I am surprised that so many ladies gladly subject themselves to this painful ordeal. I think laser hair removal would be much less painful option.

I have had my hair laser-removed, imo its more painful than a wax and each lasering treatment cost 5x what waxing does (you need 6-.
