    Default Casual Dancing

    Does anyone else do this?

I dance very, very inconsistently, and not a lot, kind of off and on part-time, once or twice a week for 1-2 months at a time, then 1-2 months off. I feel kind of lazy not being organized enough to have a regular schedule and stick to it. I keep wanting to work lately, but can't find any time to! It basically comes down to dancing income equaling out to what a steady part-time job would, because i can't seem to stick to it with the same permenance. I continue to dance instead purely for the advantage in flexibility. This makes me feel lazy even though it allows me to be more productive in other areas like school and relationships and my social life. I can't seem to find a perfect balance.

    Thoughts?

ugh this is me too! I couldn't really tell you how to fix it because I currently do this all the time. Dancing gives me such a free schedule that I show up when I feel like it or something always seems to come up so I don't go in to work.. I talk myself out of work on some nights out of just a nervous-going back fear too. the longer i wait the worse it is too. when I get into the swing of going to work more, even just a steady 3 specific days a week I feel better. Your best 3 work days go in. but i swear a cold, evil period, shitty day ...and I just skip work because blehhh.

I try to stick to my normal 3 day weekly schedule. With that being said, I haven't been to work in weeks.

Totally did the same thing til maybe mid-summer time when I started working both more often and more consistently. Even when popping in and out of the club every few weeks, I'd try and at least keep the shift the same (for me, it was Saturday day shift) because sometimes the same customers come back so it's a way of building (semi) regulars. When I danced like that, I was always excited to go to the club and it was mostly fun, which is great for your attitude while working! When I worked more often and with regularity, it felt like work, but I had an easier time cultivating regulars and had more money. Maybe pick one shift that's been consistently good for you and put forth an effort to go in every week or so on it? Baby steps!

I did this for a year or two. Basically I would get tired of dancing and quit only to dance very part time. I mostly did this when I needed money fast and other revenues were drying up. At times this helped my sanity. Even now I do this from time to time. I only do parties now and at this point rarely.

I do that too. Lately I've been working more, at least twice a week... that's still not a lot for most girls here! I'm just lazy, plus I live with my parents. So it's a bit hard.

I work at least two nights a week. Some weeks I'll work 3 nights. On real rare weeks I'll work 4 nights.

I used to work 7 nights a week. I did that for two months. It was fun while it lasted until I realized I burned myself out.
