    Default MemoryGel Silicone Implants

I had my first consultation and I felt the Mentor memory gel implants that are supposedly the "gummy bear" cohesive gels. When I felt them, they just felt like gel filled bags. I was expecting a real gummy bear texture. To those who have the actual gummy bear implants, what are they supposed to look and feel like? I think this doctor my be pulling my legs about the silicone he's using.

If you go for anatomical shape they will be much more cohesive to retain that tear drop shape but ya they are not hard they are still squishy like saline but when you cut it open the gel doesn't run out (which Im guessing that vid shows... it just sucks back in). My surgeon said that some of the gel could kinda stick to your tissue if it did rupture but the gel implants rarely rupture. Theres a vid somewhere but I can't find it of a guy driving over a saline implant and a silicone implant with his car and only the saline breaks and he throws them both off a building and again only the saline breaks. I think the consistency of the gel itself makes the shell less likely to burst because its more malleable.

Yah, they are not the same. The Memorex has a pudding consistency while the gummies have just that, a gummy bear consistency. There are only a select few Drs doing the gummies whom are participating in the study/ trial. The gummies are not currently FDA approved.
