Default What Should I Do thats safe for me and the baby?

I am currently 5 months pregnant with a baby girl. I havent gained alot of weight(with my son it was 60lbs?)but, kinda have gained some within past few weeks. I want to dance after I have the baby and I know the further I get the more weight I may gain. Im mostly gaining in belly but I already had a flabby tummy that i was trying to tone. I have gained some weight in arms and legs and butt. Im on a thyroid medicine as well. So I guess what I'm asking is how can I make it easier while pregnant to lose weight after the baby gets here? I want to keep my weight kinda maintained in my arms and the other places, as well as lose some of the excess belly fat but do it in a healthy way? Thats healthy for me and the baby. After I found out I was pregnant I quit drinking soda and eating candy like I use to. I eat pretty healthy as well. Does anyone have any advice that may help me?

Continue eating healthy and drink a lot of water. Anything you put into your mouth needs to have some sort of nutritional value, and, if you can, try eating organic. Pregnant women often make the mistake of eating ANYTHING they want, and making an excuse to do so because of they're pregnant. Eliminate all processed foods and preservatives from your diet. You don't want that going into the baby. Also, do a lot of things to relax like meditation. Get your body moving by going for nice slow walks. Doing all this should make it easy for you to lose the baby weight. Good luck : )

I second the drinking water. If you don't drink eanouph water the weight is harder to take off because the fat won't be as soluable. It also is vital to stretch marks. Skin has more elasticity when it is properly hydrated and will stretch easier and more evenly when hydrated.
Also, you can do standing abb work with an elastic band and a door nob. stand with your side to the door and arms straigt in front of you and turn from your waist pulling the band in your hands. You can also build muscles other ways. Squats, dumbells, exercise balls.
Basicly I think what screws a lot of women over is that they forget about their muscles while pregnant. It doesn't take much effort to retain and even build muscle safely while pregnant. Just be careful with the weights because your joints are loosening for birth.
    Good luck.
