    Default Fuck. I need to lose some serious flab asap. Like between now and the middle of Jan

    Ok I know crash diets are bad.. But my good friends from my club are going to take a strip trip to Vegas in the middle of January. They want me to go and I want to go but I def have some flab I want to lose. I'm talking 5-10 pounds and if I tone up a bit in the process, awesome.

    I'm thinking of doing cardio every day (what should I do and for how long?) and 90 minutes of bikram yoga 3x a week, along with eating super healthy (mainly fruits and vegetables, lean protein, minimal grains/starches).

    I also strip 2-3x a week, 8-12 hour shifts.

    Any advice on dieting and working out? Is it realistic for me to lose 5-10 pounds of fat between now and then SAFELY? Any input would be great.

    true. i hate running but i do see the fastest results in terms of fat loss when i run on the treadmill. thanks for the reminder!

    Tracy Anderson's 30 Day Method. It's extreme but works works works! I just started another thread about it but long story short I did it half-assed in October and it REALLY made a difference in my body. I don't use scales so I can't tell you how many pounds I lost, but I lost serious inches! It shapes you up in no time! She has a diet plan that is very hard to follow but even without it you'll get results you love! Good luck and have fun on your trip!

    Im doing the same thing, start my new club Jan. 17. I'm eating small portions of really healthy meals. And doing P90x daily.
    And taking Zantrex-3 to speed the process along

    ^ girl its crazy! it took me almost a week before i could do the whole thing! the first day i found myself laying on the floor, drenched in sweat, gasping, thinking maybe i'd just rather stay fat! lmao

    I think you would see best results doing 3 days high impact aerobics like step or something equally as aerobic and 2 days weight training. If you are not one to weight train on your own most gyms offer some sort of group fitness class thats weight based. And you can easily loose that much. I would highly recommend only drinking water - no other liquid at all period. You'll probably lose way more than 5-10lbs if you do that. Key is just forcing yourself when you don't want to. I recently lost around 7lbs in 8 weeks and I just forced myself to gym 5+ days a week. Even when my body was saying no more I just did it (I don't mean pain - just muscle soreness etc). I ate pretty healthy but not crazy strict... so definitely think its possible.

    no meat or alchohol and sweat a lot!!!!!!!!!!!! no pasta no wheat none of it no coffee. just veges and work out and youll lose 10lbs within 4 weeks. i did it !! it sucked but i felt good after wards. but went back to the same ole and gained it back im starting my diet again tomorrow just before thanksgiving so my stomach will shrink and ill eat smaller at turkey day lol i have tried lots of diet pills and have noticed that vege diet works best for my body. i guess you just have to experiment whats best for you. it took me years to figure out whats best for my body. a protein diet of just lean meat may work best for you while working out. probably doesnt make since but i tried to help.....

    OK, so everyone has given good advice, but say you just plain dont lose weight and it is like two weeks before. In the past, what I have done before an expected modeling thing where I want to be as thin as possible, while not looking like Ive been on a coke binge, is this... you will lose the weight (5-10 lbs), but it will not stay off if you don't go back to all the good advice given. I'm already small, so losing a few pounds when you already eat healthy and exercise is near impossible. I do this to lose all my water weight and slim down just for a few days before returning to my natural weight. For example, I'm about 122-125 regular weight, doing this can put me in the 118-120 range.

    1. Drink tea with a a pure Senna extract twice daily, once if you have a sensitive stomach. Add 1 tablesoon of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of honey.
    2. Go to GNC and get a 1 week Liver Cleanse, it helps flush you out.
    3. Drink a GALLON of water everyday.
    4. Cut out all soda, artificial sweeteners, etc. NO SALT! NO ALCOHOL! They make you puffy.
    5. Eat minimally, but smartly. Typical day for me: Morning: Strawberries, other berries, and 1 cup almond milk, light, unsweetened. Snack: .5 ounce almonds Lunch: Dark leafy greens salad, vinegar, 1tbls balsamic vinegar, chickpeas (shake it up in a tupperware). Afternoon snack: .5 ounce almonds. Dinner: 3 oz lean meat, VEGGIES (steamed, no butter), and an apple.
    6. Hunger quenchers: Air popped popcorn (use PAM cooking spray and a little imitation salt) - you can eat a lot, but dont do it all the time. Apples. If you like it, Spinach sauteed with garlic (no butter!) is great and filling.
    7. Nausea quenchers: ginger.

    I have read a lot of bad reviews on Tracy Anderson DVD's, enough to deter me from buying any, ever. Just google some and you'll see. The basic gist is they're very hard to follow, not much direction (which is especially dangerous when it comes to some of the moves you're supposed to perform).

    Also, personally I find it WAY too easy to click "pause" or "stop" and just give up on any workout DVDs. When I'm at the gym, I already made the effort to put on my gym clothes and running shoes, drove to the gym, and paid for membership... so since I'm already there, you bet I make the most of it! I'd recommend cardio (treadmill or track preferably) every day for at least 30-60 mins for fat burning. Along with working your abs daily as well. And strength training 3-4x per week on top of all that.

    Drink a ton of water. Keep your diet clean. They say how you look is 80% diet. 3-5 small meals per day (every 3 hours) to keep your metabolism burning. Eat a lot of protein and vegetables.

    If you're looking to cut the flab, then I totally suggest trying out Insanity. It's only 60 days and boy does it tighten everything up. Mix that with a good, clean diet and I think you'll get to your goal in no time. ^_^
