Default going back to an old club

I loved this club where I used to work, but left when I moved to FL on very short notice. I really should've let my manager know, but i'd only talked to him once briefly before, and didn't think he'd care. Anyway, I'm going back home for a month and a half and I need to work. I've never tried to be rehired at a club...what's standard procedure? Do they typically rehire girls with no problem?

Just show up with your dancer gear and ask if you can work. Strippers come and go like it's their job, so as long as you didn't put on a big spectacle of leaving (and sometimes it doesn't matter even if you did) then you'll likely be welcome back.

I've gone back to a few clubs, One I called ahead and asked the other I just showed up with my stuff and talked to the manager. It's another house fee for them with a girl they already know and like. piece of cake

I didn't make a scene when I left; in fact, I kind of just disappeared. But I was only there for like, 2 weeks, so I wouldn't be surprised if he simply doesn't remember me.

Also, I'm flip flopping about which club to go back to.

The first is a topless (but only in VIP) club; the management was amazing and I was really happy there. But, the money is a bit low....not too bad; I believe the cost of the champagne room speaks for the earning potential of a club. Their .5 hour is $250 and is VERY hard to sell. Also, because it's only topless in the VIP, stage tips are crappier....BUT it makes for a good approach to sell dances. The girls are great too, and if I'm really bored, they have a mechanical bull.

Second is a fully nude club with EXCELLENT $. Good stage tips, very wealthy, very upscale--it's typical for girls to earn 1000 every night. Their VIP alone is 500. But, they're nazi douchebags. If you're not blonde, blue eyed and with big tits, you stick out like a sore thumb. It is not a place for girls who are not the typical idea of "beautiful."but I was also fairly new to dancing when I worked there and didn't know how to work a busy club.

    Thoughts?

Go for the $$!! Management changes and you never know if it's going to be good/bad/ugly until you try. If you can't even sell a $250 CR at the other club then you're going to be working a lot harder for a lot less $$. If it's really bad you can go back to the other club with the assurance that you're not missing out on anything.

Ooh! And I hate that the club doesn't have a bar. We're allowed to bring in our own bottle though, and if we sell "ladies drinks," we get to pocket half the cash made from it...so the bottle kinda pays for its self.

They're soooooo strict there, though. If you chip your nail polish, $100 fine. If you wear the wrong kind of undies, fined. If you bend down while fully nude, fined. If you miss your stage set, even if you're in VIP, they fine the shit out of you. So in its own respect, it's hard to make money there. Oh, and when I was hired, it was on a "trial period," because I was too pale, my hair wasn't big enough, etc, etc.

But idk, I'll probably try going there first and then use the other club as a plan B.

That does sound terrible! You never know, they could have changed policies on the fines and fees. I worked at a Christie's that was like that. Made more money on stage my first night than at a hillbilly club... but after tipouts, house fees, etc. it wasn't worth it. On the other hand, some clubs will give you no house fees for the first week or whatever so it's worth working there for that long anyways.

As for the hiring, don't sweat it! Management can be fickle but there's nothing you can do but go in with a good attitude. If they don't like you that's fine because it's just some manager's opinion. I can't imagine going into a club where all the girls had the same look. Who the hell would come back? On the other hand if you do have a different look than everyone else that'll be good for business!

I hate super strict super picky clubs! it messes with my money cause im so nervous to do anything wrong! plus the high house fee (300 at my old club) is so much pressure! granted youll make it ++++, but the stress is too much for me!

I'm usually sooooo much happier in more relaxed clubs, but like I said, I was new-ish to dancing and didn't know how to take that high turnover of customers and work it. Plus I'll only be there for 6 weeks.

A problem I have at my club now is it seems to be the same group of custies aaaaallllll night long, so once I've drained them, I have no one left. This other club, however, experiences the highest turnover I've ever seen. Like, every hour brings in a new crowd. Plus the place is very well known amongst locals and the girls are treated like celebrities...$500 would be a small price to pay to be close to one of those girls. It's the only place I've ever worked where the girls are pretty much worshipped. So yeah, there's something kind of attractive about working in that kind of environment, albeit temporarily.....I would rather ride the mechanical bull all night, myself.
