If they have an odor or you have a reaction, they are not silicone. They are composed of rubber, plastic and other materials.

100% high quality silicone toys or glass material is the safe recommendation. That other shit deserves the trash can and can cause may health problems. If you have to use other materials until you get new toys, use condoms.

yup always high grade silicone (glass is great too but not for putting in your mouth!).

When you are buying toys a lot of websites now will tell you whether the toys are phthalates free or not. Phthalates are the devil for sex toys.

I'm pretty sure that's what you will have been smelling. The rubber/plastic basically leaks this toxin which can cause a 'burn' to your important parts!

Glass and phatalate free all the way for me. Its a common question Im asked at my online store for newbies who just want a toy. Dont buy the budget kind. Xx

I have a couple of attachments for my hitachi, and a couple of the cheap dildos. I quite often get a yeast infection but i thought this probably is down to overuse and maybe not cleaning properly as i just use soap and water. they all have a strong rubbery/ smell. oh and the worst smelling is my doc johnson squirting cock... that was bloody expensive so i cant imagine it would be poor quality. i have a glass toy but its horrible, why would anyone want to put cold, hard, imovable glass inside themselves?! I don't neccesarily think it's the materials the toy is made of, unless you personally have a bad reaction to them. Camming is long haul, i guess we can start out with what we can afford then upgrade as we go along.

I highly recommend checking out sites like EdenFantasys which post user reviews of sex toys as well as all of their stats.

If I were you I'd throw that out. When I first started camming I got sick from using Jelly and pvc toys. Like someone else said real silicone has no smell. Silicone is more expensive but worth it. It'll save you trips to the docs office. Glass is cheaper than silicone and can be heated or chilled so thats a plus.

Only use glass. Many people, especially with autoimmune problems/genetics, are allergic to silicone anyway.

Why would you stick cheap shit in your body that's harmful to you? These are sex toys, not playthings. If you pay $15 for a dildo expect it to be extremely poor quality and full of heavily chemicalized crap. Don't be surprised when it begins to fall apart over the next couple of months.

(I actually had a rubber dildo that I spent a whopping $20 on years ago and guess what - it starting flaking off inside of me! What fun that was! I tossed it and never looked back at cheap toys.)

It baffles me that people just don't care what they are sucking on and sticking in their bodies on a regular basis.

    1) You don't need to spend a fortune on toys. Tantus makes 100% high grade silicone toys at affordable prices. I have a few and I love them. They also just came out with realistic dildos. Make sure to check out the clearance section on a regular basis.

    2) If you buy a high grade toy made out of glass, wood, steel, stone, etc it will last you a lifetime. Those materials never break down, Some companies even have warrrentys. Yes you will be dropping between $40 - $200 per toy. Is it worth it in the long run? Yes. Is it worth your health? Yes.

Look for the phatalate free section and try stuff from there first. It will be more expensive (not hugely!!!) than "normal" toys but that is because its not made of rubbish that cant be used to make anything else!! I wont use budget/normal toys and have an extensive collection of glass, phatalate free and silicone and have had no problems. Remember to always go pee after your last show of the night too. Lube can cause problems if it gets in the wrong place too. Xx

I just started camming in October and right now I have a hitachi, the original rabbit, and the doc johnson realistic cock - they are all working out really well for me so far.
Nobody has ever complained about me only having 3 toys (quality over quantity) but I do want to expand my collection soon.

I highly recommend the hitachi (who doesn't, it's amazing..) as well as the Doc Johnson, I had some issues with it in the beginning only because I was not used to the size, but a little lube and more warm up in the begnning took care of that problem.
My custys LOVE the realistic cock to the point that I can't show it on cam if I am not prepared to use it because right away they'll go "OMG CAN YOU RIDE IT!?" if they see me sucking on it in the beginning of a private lol - plus it is also great to double up with the hitachi =D

Next on my list is a glass toy, though, after all these good things I have heard I can't not get one.

I wish I could use my Hitachi but it irritates me for some reason. I don't think it's the material because I tried covering it with plastic wrap but it still did...strange

I paid a shit pile of money before I realized I was still getting crappy grade materials. Brand names spill those toys out like crazy. I feel the same as you with glass toys. They are strange feeling.

I recently discovered Lelo toys Oh wow. Those I recommend highly if you are looking for a particular comfort level.

Mine used to irritate me quite a lot sometimes too, there were times it would blow my clit up like a balloon which would scare the shit out of me (LOL) but I found that if I don't go straight to it and "get myself warmed up for it" first it doesn't happen anymore.

Edit: It IS an intense toy though, so overuse will cause some irritation.

I find glass toys very smooth and get to the right temperature easily, if its big can be a bit heavy for your hand thou.

I love silicone natural looking dildos! unfortunately the time i did the purchase i found only a huge one ahah
    and I bought it anyway!
Super soft, stretchy, with suction cup, no plastic smell.
I use it for bjs, guys go insane. Unfortunately i cant deepthroat it cause the width in the second half is too big, i cant open my mouth more than that!

I still have a jelly natural looking (even thou is red lol) dildo.
It was my first purchase for camming and i was looking for sonething cheap and easy for trying out, i have never used one before!
I never got an irritation/problems with it (usually my skin is sensitive, so i would guess down there too) but i dont get that much requests for penetration during my shows.
And i prefer to use it as less as possible since i know the risks!
Famous last words: last time I had a 40min private consisting of shoving this damn jelly all the time and changing up a bit with the glass one

The next purchase will def be a 100% silicone natural looking dildo in average size and throw away the jelly one for good!
