    Default Hustling with Dread Locks

I know that being a stripper with dreads will most often make it that bit harder to make lots of money and get dances (depending on where you are). My dreads are down to my butt and are thin to med width and always very clean/neat tidy. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or little tips on how to hustle with dreads, as they inevitably come into discussion etc.

As long as the rest of your look is more stereotypical stripper (pretty skirt sets or dresses, girly colours, etc.) and less alternative, the dreads shouldn't hinder your hustle too much - especially if you've got a bubbly and flirty personality to go along with them.

^This (if they are well kept & the rest of your look is stripper-licious it may not even be an issue, might just give you an edge). And, if you are hired at a gentlemen's club (bare in mind that some have stricter hiring procedures than others about appearance etc) & aren't doing well then you can always change clubs or try out a more alternative friendly club. If you feel that your hair is impacting on your $ or your confidence-it's hair, you can always change it if you feel the need

this girl's not a stripper but she has some awesome pole vids and i think the dreads look dope when she's flipping her hair around!

i don't know much about hustling with that kind of look though. there is a girl at my club with a pretty hardcore goth look and she's a top earner because she's outgoing and funny, smiles a lot and has creative pole shows. most hustling advice applies to all types.

I worked with a girl who had faiirly thick but neat but well kept dreads and a ton of guys thought she was cute, but she had a terrible attitude with potential customers and thus hardly ever sold dances or cultivated regulars. I also agree w shanna dior-if the rest of your look is more strippery and girl next door you will tend to appeal to a wider range of customers. I know my manager at the time absolutely hated her hair and she found it hard to be scheduled on the better shifts with more $ potential.

Honestly, you may face a bigger issue with management than with customers. Management likes to think they know what customers like when they really don't. If your club schedules, not being stripperlicious (aka having dreads or any other alternative look) can hinder the availability of good shifts for you. Of course, that's not to say that all clubs will care, but all the more reason to make the rest of you scream 'stripper.'

How is hustling with dreads any different than hustling without them? If anything, you'll probably bank by being the only chic with dreads & standing out. They're fkn sexy.

I have dreads & it hasn't changed my style in hustle. Mine are just as you've described yours -hell when I have them in an updo some people don't even notice right away. Some people see them & love them while others don't care for them.

Look at it this way -while it may not be the norm some people will like it some people won't. Some people also like blonds while others don't, right.

Although, I will agree w/ Shanna Dior & say that you will have to make sure your appearance should always be at best & work well w/ your dreads (not all outfits or styles suit my hair). But this should be always be priority anyways.
