    Default Psoriasis Remedies

I did some searching, but for some reason it wasn't throwing up any results with psoriasis in the title!! Weird...

    Anyway..

I get psoriasis, and am always looking for new treatments and natural remedies to help me get rid of it...thought that we could share some thoughts, seeing as I know that I'm not the only one here with this issue!!

    This is what help me:

    - Clobex spray is the only western medicine that has ever worked on me...and it is great!! But incredibly expensive, and you can't use it on your scalp, and shouldn't use it on your face.
    - Diet-wise, I've found that avoiding wheat and sugar really helps, and cutting down on the dairy also helps a lot. Processed foods in general seem to piss my skin off.
    - I am currently trying to cut out "nightshade" vegetables (tomatoes, eggplants, etc) as I read that they can irritate your skin. No conclusions as of yet...

I've tried a bunch of other stuff, but very little works....anyone else have any good tips?
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

I suffer from this too and during the winter it goes haywire. I was on medication and finished it so now I am using udder cream. Yes cream they use on cows to relieve dry skin. Just started using it and and seems to be working but whether it will completely go away only time will tell.

There is a link between psoriasis and a mutation on HLA-B27, which coincidentally also links to dairy intolerance and celiac disease among other autoimmune things. So avoid gluten & dairy.

Also: argan oil (or any other anti-inflammatory oil), a raw diet, dandelion root, burdock root, and you're good to go. Some also swear by indigo naturalis as well.

thanks for posting this! I suffer from it, too and recently I read that people with psoriasis can also have joint pain because of it. Lately I've had joint pain, too. FML
My doctor prescribed me different creams but it's just so random in the way it manifests itself. I used to only have it on my scalp. A couple months ago it got really bad right around my eyes, so annoying!

Me too. See above, its liked to autoimmune conditions due to a mutation on HLA-B27. Arthritis is an autoimmune problem.

I have one friend who suffers quite severely from it and it makes me sad to see that other than use his medication, he doesn't help himself.
He lives in a truck in a car park with his 2 dogs, and just a wood burning stove for heating. It gets well below freezing here in the winter with snow all around, and when the snow melts his truck leaks and becomes damp.
I'm not certain but I don't think he showers very often or does laundry.
His psoriasis flairs up massively all through the winter.
Years ago when he had an apartment with heating and a shower, and a girlfriend to make an effort for, it wasn't so bad, but now he just doesn't seem to care.

yes, a couple times I've had a butterfly rash around my eyes and nose where my whole face swell up until I was unrecognizable. Doctors suspected it was lupus but it wasn't..

I have arthritis and it's been suspected it may be rheumatoid arthritis but it's pretty mild. Whether I got it from this is up for debate because I could have gotten it at an athlete. I find when I workout and especially after yoga it's very mild.

Fish oil capsules( you can get them at your local grocery store),Diprolene cream(Fast acting but by prescription only), or Eucerin lotion have all worked for me. I've had psoriasis since I was 16.
