    Default Low-calorie Mocktails?

I've been wanting to drastically cut down my drinking for awhile now. I'm trying to lose weight (I've put on so much in the last 6 months!). Plus, if I have more than a few drinks, I feel like crap the next day, and become completely unmotivated. The problem is, most of my friends and my bf are fairly heavy drinkers. Most of the time we go out, there's a good deal of drinking involved.

I've tried just sipping a couple drinks throughout the night slowly, but that never works for me. I get really bored at bars and drink just to keep myself busy, so my little highballs disappear quickly. I sometimes try to get just a glass of wine to keep myself from chugging, but I get bored having wine all the time. So, I thought about simply taking the alcohol out of my drinks... but when I looked it up, I found out that a lot of the mixers are actually more fattening if you get a glass of them by themselves than if you mix them with alcohol! A gin and tonic is actually less calories than just a glass of tonic water, since tonic water apparently has a lot of sugar and gin is pretty low-calorie.

I really don't want to be the party-pooper that just sips water all night. Does anyone not drink and have some good go-to mocktails that are still more interesting than water but low-cal?

Doesn't tonic have less than 10cals?? I always thought it was like soda water.. But I usually drink soda water with all the fruit in it.. Strawberries, lemon, lime.. And then just don't eat the fruit.

^^ It's not that bad - only about 100 cal per 8 fl oz (from Schweppes) so just slightly less than a G&T. I think it's the sugar that does it (22g per serving, apparently).

I just didn't realize that it was so full of sugar, or that it wasn't really any better calorie-wise than it's alcoholic counterpart. So now I'm looking for some fun recipes - preferably ones that include soda water and _______ - Something else to make it fun, since soda water is virtually calorie-less, but kinda 'blah' on its own.
