Dizzy Dancing and being a SAHM.. How do you balance it all?

Im on my second night of returning to dance.. and its been exhausting couple of days. I have a 2.5 year old and a 5 month old.. and between the two I get little rest during the day. On the nights I don't work its not too bad but when I do, UGH! It freaking kills me and I have a really short tempered with the kids and the hubs.

If in the the same situation, how do u deal with it?

You are a working mother, dancing is still work, but regardless of category, just hire help. Kids under 5 are hard, hire a sitter/nanny/mother's helper. And if cleaning stresses you, throw a maid in there as well. Even part time help is worth it, mothers need time they can rely on for downtime and/or other tasks.

Sounds like you're not a SAHM anymore, girl. Get the hubby to take a fair share of the work, and get a sitter if you can.

Pick a night when you don't work to have this discussion with Hubby, it will be less stressful.

I have a 3 year old, dance 2-3 nights a week and I still consider myself a SAHM. I wouldn't be able to do the early mornings after working late if it weren't for my loving bf always making sure I have a red bull. :-) I'm a mean bitch until I get my sugar! Lol Otherwise, stay away from alcohol and caffeine at work and take naps when the kids do. :-)

My husband takes my daughter to preschool (used to be just daycare)the mornings after I work.

When he was deployed I had a friend watch her overnight and I picked her up between 10 am and noon. I paid her $100 for the weekend, and $35 for the weekday.

This doesn't work long-term or even medium-term. Nothing gets done because you're busy sleeping and then you feel bad, so you clean while they sleep and you're back to being exhausted and stressed. Hiring some help is worth it instead of pretending you can do it all without help.

I guess I have to be able to let go.. Im a control freak and if I personally dont do things I feel like they are not done right. Like laundry, house work, etc... And when my mom offers to help out, she doesn't know I dance, but just to give me a break. She parks my 2.5 yr old in front of the TV.. which I HATE! My husband helps as much as he can, gets up with baby at night feedings, we take turns, but he does work a 9-5 and two nights out of the week a part time and one night each we go to school. So its really hard to balanced it evenly between the both of us.

If you hire someone to take a little stress out of your life you will probably reap the benefits at work as well as at home, and lower your chances of getting ill. Benefits all round
