    Default Butt tattoos

    I need some ideas.

I have a scar on my butt that I'm incredibly self-conscious about. It's small, about the size and shape of a dime, and really really red still after about 5 years.

I've tried all the scar creams I can get over the counter to no effect, and two months ago had it hit with a laser at the dermatologist's office...still nothing. It won't go away!

I'm thinking my only solution is to get it covered up, but I have never seen a tattoo on someone's butt that I liked. I do like the idea of a large piece winding up my leg and coming up on to the butt, or a back piece doing the same thing rather than just some random little thing in the middle of my cheek.

I have two other semi-large tattoos already, one on my arm and one around my ankle, so I'd be verging into becoming "that tattooed chick" with this one. I'm a little worried about that affecting my money if I ever move away from Portland.

Does anyone have any ideas, or pictures, or alternative suggestions?

I know it's a small thing, but it drives me nuts. I spend way too much time every night covering the damn thing with makeup and it still shows through by the end of the night.

DONT get a tattoo on your ass. There is a reason you have never seen a tattoo on someone's ass you liked. They don't exist. I am heavily tattooed and honestly that's one of the few if only place that's 100% off limits.

Save your money and get laser treatment on the scar.

^^ She said she'd tried laser, but was unsuccessful. Other than that, I totally agree.

I've seen one butt tattoo that was hot on this dancer. It was a red kiss. It looked good on her bc her ass was lifted, muscular looking...or could've been augmented. Wasn't sure. Nice either way.

I have the kiss tattoo on my butt. I did it for the same reason as you. I had a scar that I was trying to cover up. I was really conscious of the scar and I am more comfortable with the tattoo than the scar. You can see it a little bit in my signature picture, I will post a bigger one to give you an idea...

OH sorry didn't see that she had tried laser...

I'd look into a different kind of laser and keep in mind that it can take SEVERAL passes and time after the session to start seeing improvement. It's usually not immediate.

First off, I'll say that you really shouldn't worry about it. A scar that's only as big as a dime? Honestly, I doubt anyone but you notices it. To you, it probably looks like the size of Texas, but others probably don't even see it unless it's pointed out. For something so small, don't get some tacky tattoo that you'll hate the rest of your life just to cover it up. It'll look worse than the miniscule scar.

But on that note, I also recognize that it's your body and if it makes you feel better to have that scar gone, then you should do what you want. But I agree with the others that you should do several laser treatments before looking into something else. If you get a tattoo that you don't like, you will hate it so much more than that scar.

Also, I scar very easily and have had several scars throughout my life that I thought were very big and noticeable - others didn't even see them. It takes me forever to get rid of scars, but they do eventually go away. I have this little scar on the top of my arm where I just barely burned myself with the oven. This was almost 3 years ago and it's still plain as day to me. I had this one scar on my knee that I got when I was like 12 years old.... I just noticed it gone like 3 years ago... Maybe you just scar easily and heal slowly like me. But they do eventually fade or go away completely... it may take years, but in the meantime, I really doubt anyone else but you is obsessed with it.

I have a tattoo that ventures down onto my ass & I get tons of compliments on it. I any tattoo can work just as long as it's tastefully done. For mine -I think the perfect symmetry that pulls it off.

Although, be warned -tattooing or piercing or whatever over scartissue can be quite uncomfortable.

Also, I have always loved that kiss tattoo -I have actually wanting to get one of my own just right above my goodiebox

I have a few friends who have that kiss tattoo on their bums, and I think it's kind of cute if done right But since it's right in the middle of your bum (I think that's where you said it was?) that might look a bit odd. I would think a bigger tattoo running up to your hip or down your thigh in some way would be better, but I'm really not sure :/

I have a giant scar all the way across my neck that I've never found a way to get rid of, but I've also not tried very hard. I might suggest trying some different scar lotions and such first, though. Anything that you haven't tried that MIGHT work?
