    Default Amazon Wish List

Okay, in MFC there's a lot of girls who share her wish list to costumers so they can buy them things they want so my question is... How does that works?

I know how to share the link, of course, and adding items to the wishlist, that's simple but... How do they send these things? I thought Amazon do the job of sending it to you but there's nothing in amazon.com that explains this so... How do our costumers send us this stuff without knowing our adress?

I don't know if it's helpful but I'm from Chile so maybe it's not the same if you live in US.

When you make your own account with Amazon you have the option of starting a "Wishlist" so you can add stuff you're interested in buying (or having purchased for you...in this case).

Once you direct someone to your Amazon wishlist, they have the option of buying it for you as a "Gift"....they put in their credit card info,
and click to send the gift to you.

This is how I understand it to work....and your name and full address is not disclosed to the buyer,
although you need to be careful and make sure all your name/address info is indeed being hidden (there should be an option when putting in your info to select it be kept "private").
As far as I have seen...this is how it works.

I would be curious to know though....do most girls use a P.O. Box for their Amazon Wishlists , for extra security? Or do you feel comfortable that your personal info (home address) is thoroughly protected with Amazon?

Thank you Amy, I want to know that too if it's better to use a P.O. Box... But if Amazon keeps the information safe I think it's okay. Well, we'll need to figure that out.

I use an amazon wishlist, and items are sent to a PO box with my camname, not my real name. Also not in my real city.

Amazon wishlist won't show full address, but WILL show your city and state.

disable 3rd party merchants though. Some products are offered and sold on amazon through different sites but still use amazon as their platform to market shit. Amazon won't disclose your address but the other site can if there's a problem. A had a guy buy something off my amazon wishlist and i didn't realize it was from a 3rd party merchant. well there was some problems with my mail room blah blah and it had to get returned. Well 3rd party contacted the buyer and told him this product that was delivered to yada yada was being returned etc etc... Luckily he wasn't a nut job, well lets hope he's not, and he told me right away that they disclosed my full address. So there's an option to opt out of that.

There's huge threads on amazon wishlists. You might want to search for them, including whether or not to use them, their safety, and where to send the stuff.

Yeah, Amazon wish lists have been discussed a lot on the forum, so you should do a search for all of that info.

On another forum, a guy was talking about how he purchased a model's wish list item, and there was a problem with delivery. When Amazon was contacted about it, they sent him an invoice that showed the model's address. That's pretty shitty.

My opinion is that it's just safer to accept Amazon e-gift cards only. Guys always say "But I want to buy you something that you really want." Well buying me an e-gift card IS something that I really want! LMAO.....

As said before, I still think it's safer to just accept e-gift cards instead...

But if it comes down to A) using your home address or B) using your P.O. Box, I'd say to go with B. Your privacy/safety is more important than anything else.

The main amazon wishlist shouldn't disclose your info - I'm fairly concerned with these examples of guys being given that info!!

The one exception is the "universal" wishlist button - unlike amazon directly, they WILL give your info to the customer.

Either way, I currently have everything sent to a tattoo shop I have ties with, and when I leave there, I will be setting up a UPS box. (PO boxes don't accept larger packages, so you can set stuff up with mailboxes etc or with UPS stores).

If you are really concerned about it - you could set up a PO Box/UPS store system with a postal office or UPS store in another city/town that is close by, and make a little road trip every once in a while. (I live juuuust on the other side of the Canadian border, and am so tempted to get a PO box in Seattle, and just do a bi-weekly road trip to pick stuff up!! LOL)

But if you are really, really, REALLY concerned about safety, don't have a wishlist, or only have giftcards.
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

My PO Box accepts large packages - they just hold it in the back & I get a slip in the mailbox. Take it to the desk, and they give me the package.

I'm way to leery to do the whole wishlist thing. I wish there was a better place where no address info of any sort was released.

I was thinking of setting up some type of forwarding from one state to another but one place I checked out was a scam.

Also guys are now scamming on amazon wishlist and placing orders only to cancel after the model does the show.

I say stick to just amazon gift cards. He should be able to give you all the info right there. Hell they now have amazon visa cards. So you can use the card pretty much anywhere.
