I'm an Atlanta girl, currently work at Oasis. (Thinking about moving to Pink Pony or Cheetah... not sure yet though.) Let me know if you have any questions! I love it at Oasis, the girls are great and the management is fair.

I'm fond of Oasis because they are not strict on scheduling for night shift girls. I'm a grad student, so sometimes I barely have time to brush my teeth, much less get prettied up for 8 hours of dancing. The main requirement to remain on the roster is to come in at least 2 Fridays and 2 Saturdays a month, unless you call in. (I've been out the past 3 weeks because of finals and traveling for the holidays.)

House fees are decent. I pay 10% to the DJ, $6 to the house mom, $6 to the bathroom mom, $20 to the club and $5 to the valet. Table dances are $10/song, and the VIP is $150 minimum (don't undercut the other girls!) for half an hour, and $30 for the room to the club. I don't do that many VIPs typically, but I generally make $300-$500 a night. Lower end for weekdays, higher end for weekends.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting hired... I walked in, the house mom barely even glanced at me and said, "... can you come in tomorrow by 8? OK, see you then." I did have to audition at the Pink Pony, though, but from what I understand, Pink Pony and Oasis are pretty similar in most regards.

MeiMei, you are a saint! Thanks so much. Oasis is actually in my top 3 choices of clubs. I'm glad that you replied, it's great to have current info (no offense to mediocrity, your post was more than helpful also). I'm an undergrad student hoping to make money (obviously) however my #1 goal is to repay these student loans so that when I go to Med school i'll be debt free. When I first began researching becoming a dancer I was very intimidated, however you lovely ladies and the whole forum in general have been very informative and helpful. Thanks!

With all that being said, I have more questions:

As far as the racial demographic of Oasis' dancers and customers, how does that pan out? I've read some older posts (circa 2005 ish) about "white" strip clubs in Atlanta not being very black girl friendly. *sigh* Well i'm a tall slender black girl if that counts for anything. lol

The Permit! $350! Does Oasis help pay, let you work a couple shifts to pay it, or just send on your way to fork that cash out yourself?

I'm checking out the club...mmm, probably this weekend when I need a break from studying for finals. Who should I ask to speak to and what should I bring (if anything).

I think its fantastic that they're flexible with your school schedule. I'll be super busy next semester as I'll be overloading on classes, 20 hrs. eek. Anyway, is this school flexibility given to girls with seniority or is Oasis really as wonderful as it seems? haha

Sorry for the late reply! I haven't been on the boards lately... but to answer your questions:

1.) Oasis is a mixed club. By this I mean we're predominantly white girls, with a few black girls, a few Hispanic girls, a few "ethnically ambiguous girls" (as in, I have no idea what to categorize them as) and a few Asian girls (of which I am one!) On any given night we have anywhere from 15 to 50 girls working, so I would estimate that 10-15% of the girls are black. Customers are predominantly white, but we have some black and Hispanic customers too. I think we're fairly black girl friendly...

2.) The Oasis does not help you pay for the permit. At all. I did get lucky; I came in on a Saturday, they asked me to start on a Sunday night because they REALLY needed girls, so they let me work that one night so I could go to the permit office on Monday with the money. However, they were very clear that it was a rare exception because it was a busy holiday weekend. Perhaps you could try that strategy?

3.) I think the house mom does the hiring - I just went to the door man and asked about working, and he brought me straight to the house mom who hired me on the spot, simple as that. Didn't have to change into any clothes to audition or anything, though they DID make me audition at the Pink Pony.

4.) The flexibility is for everyone; apparently the weekday nights are better money than weekend nights (older clientele who are more fond of spending money, I guess?) so they don't need to require any strict scheduling to get girls to come in. But weekends allegedly suck (I say allegedly, because I make consistent money on weekends) so they have to REQUIRE girls to come in, in order to stay on the roster. Or so that's the reasoning that's been given to me. Same with day shift; you are required to set up a schedule if you're working day shift, but I'm definitely not a day shift kind of girl.

Where are you going to school and what kind of classes are you taking? I only ask because I found it really hard to come in more than once a week (and sometimes even that) with my graduate school course load, and I was NOT taking 20 hours a week. I'm always pretty exhausted after a night at Oasis... I don't sell many VIPs so I make most of my money on the floor, which means doing table dance after table dance after table dance ALL NIGHT LONG, and then busting my ass on stage between table dances. (I pride myself on an acrobatic stage show.) Did I mention that we don't close until 4AM? It's really quite killer...

Alternatively, they offer a "mid shift" from 4PM to 12 midnight, but you have to tip out both the day shift and the night shift staff if you do mid shift. It might be worth it to you though, since you're so busy with school. Me, I'm a cheapass motherfucker so I wouldn't tip out twice if I could avoid it, and on top of that, I make my money off volume... so I don't start making the bulk of my money until 10 or 11PM when business at the club starts picking up.

Well I'm a biology major and have 3 major classes and 3 bullshit classes. Even though I have a lot of hours, I only have class 3 days a week. So maybe I'll do the day or mid shift on those two days. Or maybe a night shift the night before those two days so I can sleep in.
