    Default Virtual Addresses

Hi, I've been lurking for a while and have been considering joining the cam girl ranks for a while now. The information I've found on here has been immensely valuable. Something I've seen discussed a few times has been addresses and the danger of having a current address sold/made public/etc. I was wondering how many of you have tried and successfully signed up with non-current addresses and also how many are familiar with virtual addresses. I did a search but nothing came up for them. Basically it's an address a company gives you that you can use instead of your actual one. When you get mail you can look at what it is and decide if you want to have it forwarded to you. Is anyone familiar with something like this? I've only just heard of it so I'm not sure about the pros and cons about that kind of service.

From the one I looked at you can hold your mail and have it sent to you all as one package. The pricing varies for the places. Some have a start up price and a smaller monthly fee with lower shipping costs while others have a free/low cost start up with higher shipping costs.

Really I just want to have an address to put in until I can get a P.O. box. All the ones at my local post office are filled so I'm on the waiting list.

I use . I live outside the US so it's pretty much a necessity for me. You can get pics of the contents of the box, scans of the packing lists, they'll return things for you, choices between shipping options and you can leave packages in storage for up to 30 days without an added charge. They have a page on there too where you can enter the weight and destination where you want to forward you package so you can get an estimate of what the cost will be. The page is .

A problem I ran into was most companies wanted me to fill out Form 1583(so they accept mail on my behalf) stating which name would be on all my mail and submit corresponding ID. Obviously I don't have an ID with my cam name on it and I was super happy when I found out this site only asks that you list all the names that receive mail no ID required so, just a heads up on that. I think the price is fairly reasonable, but I guess price is relative. It's a $20 setup and paid $60 for the year or you can skip the annual and pay $7 monthly. I have no bad complaints about them.

Signing up with a non-current address would not work for 2 reasons. It needs to be on your license or proof (maybe if it was an old address it would work), and they will likely mail you a 1099 at the end of the year. If they don't issue 1099s yet, they may start to at any time, as it looks like the self-employed tax world is headed in that direction very soon.

    It's perfect for wishlists though.
