Sooo yeah. I just had my first consultation, and I had a couple questions for the experts here.
First off, I have pectus excavatum, which is an inverted breastbone. It's not horrible -- I've seen some scary pictures of it on google -- but according to the doctor it will make the surgery much more complicated. Mainly, the implants will have a greater possibility of shifting together and creating a uniboob. I do not want that to happen. Anyone have any experience with that, or advice on how to prevent it? The Dr. recommended a ton of massage, but nothing beyond that.
He also says it will be impossible to make me completely symmetrical, since my chest wall is deformed. My right breast is much wider than my left, too, which will limit how big I can go. That's fine, I only want to be about a C cup -- so far we're thinking high-profile 325ccs in the right, and 350 in the left. I originally wanted medium-profile implants, but he says I have to do HP as I'm very narrow...How bad do you think this is going to look? I'm glad he's being honest with me about expectations, but I'm a little afraid I'm going to look worse instead of better.
Finally, has anyone heard of or dealt with Dr. John Lee in Portland? He doesn't have the best bedside manner, but he certainly seems to know what he's talking about, and I like the pictures I've seen of his work.
Tentative surgery date is February 27th! I'm so excited/scared/impatient...
