    Default Pole grips

    Has anyone tried these:

They look like they have the potential to be dangerous, but at the same time fully awesome. I'm imaging myself sticking to the pole like a sexy spider or something. Haha!

    What do you think?

I imagine they're not so handy on a static pole where you and your hands have to move around the pole.

I've never used them. I do love the suggestions they have for other handy uses:
"Driving - Look uncool wearing driving gloves? Slip these on and get great grip and great style!."

    Yes, so stylish!

Anyway, I have used the grip aids BOTM mentioned. I used Dry Hands. It works really well, but I found myself having to reapply it a lot.

LMAO "great style!" That's hilarious. I didn't even read the description, just saw them and thought - interesting!

They look very funny The powder grip would be better because you can feel with your whole hand.
But yes they could be awesome... you could do a spiderman show

Those would look strange onstage, confusing and possibly turning off customers. They also look like they would grip the pole better than they'd grip your hands. I asked a similar question a while back when I switched from a club with brass poles to a club with a stainless harder to grip poles. A couple of SWers recommended Mighty Grip to me, and now I'm recommending it to you. Their website was kind of buggy each time I tried it, so I get it from amazon or ebay.

^Oh no I'd die laughing if I saw a girl wearing them at work! IF I bought them, and I don't think I will, they'd get used at home. Where nobody can see.....lol.

There are cooler looking gloves you can get. But I'd prefer dry hands or mighty grip, itac2 is meant to be good but it's bad to get too dependent on grip aids because if you run out you suddenly can't do anything.

Home remedies for extra pole grip:
    Spray the pole with hairspray
Rub candle wax on it (though this can make it too grippy)
Wash your hands with dishwashing liquid (it's designed to cut through grease)
Rub lemon juice on your hands (the acid dries out your hands)
I know one girl who'll just spit on her hands and rub it on her body where she needs to grip, it totally works but a bit gross

Sorry- I didn't realize you were talking about a pole in your house! Always wished I had room for one of those.

I haven't but last week while in Sephora I found this freaking awesome stuff for your body that lets you stick right to the pole! It's 10$$ Michael Kors Leg Shine and I put it on my legs, sides, and inside my arms. I haven't tried it on my hands but it's totally non-slippery and it sticks you right to the pole. I love love love it!!!

A girl at work last week had a bottle of some kind of grip stuff similar to Dry Hands or Mighty Grip....I hated it. It worked for about 2.5 seconds then balled up into little pieces and caked up the pole. Kinda like the consistency of flour and water.
