Default What is your favorite motivational book?

I don't know if there's already a thread on this topic but I'm looking for motivational books similar to The Secret and the LOA books by Jerry and Esther Hicks to help with hustling and just to help myself become the best individual I'm capable of being. So far I have:

    - How to Win Friends and Influence People
    - The Secret
    - Think and Grow Rich
    - Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
    - The Law of Attraction
    - Money and the Law of Attraction

What are your favorites and what do you recommend?

Ive read alot of motivational books and I know many girls on here suggest Think and Grow Rich and its an ok book but I didnt have the "aha moment" with it. Two books that I did have that moment with are The Twelve Universal Laws of Success and Psycho-Cybernetics (especially this one) by Maxwell Maltz, both easy reads and straight to the point. Also the Art of Seduction and 48 Laws of Powers are also a couple of good books to read a few pages every day, both by Robert Greene.

anything by paul mckenna or louise hay. you can download them online via torrent. paul mckenna isn't necessarily motivational. he's a hypnotist. louise hay is motivational. she's like 90 (and i honestly can't imagine her dying just because she's thriving so much), driving a rolls royce (without shame because she knows abundance is everywhere), looks like she's 40 (because she has this amazing perspective on aging), living her dream life (because she knows she's in total control of her life), and her books saved my life (as she has saved others; she had the biggest support group for aids patients back in the 80s when society treated them like pariahs).

Camille, you we're the one who actually got me into Louise Hay. I absolutely adore her. I watched her video, "You can heal your life," but I really need to purchase some of her books.

This isn't a book but I recommend the movie What the Bleep Do We Know. It's about quantum mechanics but its main theme is realities and how we create and recreate them. A lot of the language is very similar to most motivational books I've read, but with a heavier lean toward scientific explanations (at least to the extent that physicists can postulate at this point).

I watched it last night on netflix. It's a good movie, but really doesn't give good advice on how to motivate yourself. It's just touching a surface of "you make your own reality". I like the idea of "how far down the rabbit hole".

I've been reading Psycho-Cybernetics and I must say, this book was practically written for me. Its an absolute must have for those wanting to change improve their character.

I read the secret last night at the club. Sundays are always really dead at my club, like 5 people at most. I thought to myself "I want to make $200, and I want it to be from someone who sees my stage". 200 isn't crazy money, but on a Sunday that's good, especially if I'm relaxing and not really hustling. So it was 12 already, and we close at 2. I'd gone on stage at least 4 times already, and even though there was only a dollar or two each stage, I really tried up there. Later in the night a couple approaches me, they say they saw my stage when they were walking in, and they wanted a double VIP, which is 200 exactly.
It might just be a crazy coincidence (I'm a huge cynic with new age stuff), but seriously I was shocked.

I recently read Imagine:How Creativity Works by Jonah Lehrer. Its not necessarily an inpirational book. But if you are a creative person or consider yourself artistic then it could help you. I would read a chapter then stop take notes and try to apply these techniques towards becoming a happier person. It was refreshing.

Love positive threads! Louise Hay is quite enlightening. She's like..a beaming flower in a world of smelly, icky, toxic mud. It's absolutely beautiful hearing her speak. Everyone watch this 5 minute clip titled, "A Conversation with Louise Hay" It's the perfect antidote to stress:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tmc0BvY96ss

I listen to it as often as I can hoping it'll drill her philosophy into me.
