Yup with my internet marketing business - my camming story works very well in my favor. through building my affiliate marketing commissions and diving more into affiliate marketing and network marketing and other people build themselves as coaches and selling their internet courses.

I've found myself bumping into a dominatrix and a former solo model/cam model who both use their adult careers as something of an asset in their businesses.

one of the biggest challenges vanilla people face when they want to build a business online is dealing with rejection and potential haters and us being in a very finicky line of work we already dealt with and most of us have long past moved on.

So this idea that you can only cam then get a vanilla job as your only options is really just bull shit.

when you are a cam girl and if you are doing it right you are an entrepreneur and being an entrepreneur that means you have options or you create options for yourself.

There is almost no research out there available for cam model looking for other forms are work that can still give them the lifestyle they are a costumed too which is why I am venture out building this project.

It took some interesting soul searching backwards thinking going to college, taking career counseling session, a government internship and then in 2014 it hit me straight in the face that what I am able to is right front of me.

So now I've put myself on a challenge for the next few months to use what I have found, track my results and use for a case study for my future online course. a few years ago if you have told me this is what I would be doing I wouldn't know how to believe it being possible.

camming never affected me in any negative way- however my day ( and most nights) job is that of an illustrator, and there are books out there with my work in them on on the covers, albums, hell even team merch for the NFL and NCAA players association and more than a few of my clients more so many of my regulars actually tend to know about my past and found that, depending on the client and the context of the work, sometimes actually has given me an advantage when said client is collecting bids from other artists because I may have a deeper understanding of framing, depth, setting up images that carry more expressiveness or replicating body language , and attention grabbing in a way many can't- and its also helped tremendously with interacting and being more relaxed interacting with the clients and feeling more familiar than just another business conversation.

on top of that my step mother was a stripper and a dancer for many years in the 70's and 80's when alot of that sort of stuff was alittle more frowned upon, and shes also gone on to have amazing careers in the vanilla world without it ever biting her ass.

you didnt cam for long, and so i dont assume you had much leak, or stolen or passed around so id imagine the odds of alot of that floating around are pretty low and not very likely to come up and damn you as much as it would say, someone who is more or less a well known celebrity. Really the main way anyone would really find out job wise is by looking through tax records and most sites use the name of a parent company anyway - assuming you made enough to have to pay taxes in the first place.

In the end Momo's advice is to do what you have to, past is the past, and not really super saturated, do what it is you want/need/enjoy doing, worst that can happen is things MIGHT come up - and it may cause problems in THAT instant- if it happens some may overlook it, some may throw a fit, some may try to bury it - youd never know if you never focus and make that decision to actually move forward with your life choices outside of this industry, if it fails? you still always have a ton of options, you just need to make that effort.

I'm the same way. I don't broadcast it but I don't go out of my way to hide it.

I don't lose any sleep over it and if and when it happens, I will deal with it then. I do care that I can support myself and make more than enough money. If I ever, I seriously hope not, try to get a vanilla job, I can only hope adult work will not stand in the way, but if it does, I always have adult work. It is something I like doing and there are way more options to make money. I have seen good hard working people, including myself struggle to make ends meet and get disrespected on their vanilla jobs. I find it more degrading getting disrespected by some boss or stupid vanilla rules than anything I have ever done in adult work. For one thing, the power lays in our Ban Button. I use it whenever the fuck I want to. I actually enjoy my secret naughty life, its like a different reality from the vanilla world, where we make the rules work for us.

In my personal opinion the best thing is to make the jump into building your own business and not getting a "vanilla job" per se. Let's be honest: What's there to stop us from running our own vanilla business?

and starting a business is becoming a lot easier then people think especially if you know what business model you want to follow.

The hardest part is finding your business model and your target market then building your customer avatar.

Default If I were to become a camgirl

would it hinder me from scoring a job as a flight attendant and/or a worker on a cruise (i.e. kitchen worker on a cruise or gift shop sales cashier on a cruise, etc)

Probably not. Right now, 2 of my 3 jobs involve working with children. But I also can't guarantee you that your coworkers/boss(es) won't ever find you on the 'net. So if you do decide that you really wanna cam, just be smart about who you tell your personal business to later on (when you decide to get those other jobs). Remember that there can be a lot of gossiping and talking behind one's back in the workplace.

    Default Background Checks

Ok I know similar threads have been posted, but I was wondering if I could get more specific input. I am worried right now because I applied for a real estate license and while in my state I can be practicing and am already- it is taking an unusually long time for my background check to clear. I know I am not the only one- there is some other girl in the office who is simply waiting out till it clears to start real estate and it is taking her over 2 months. I don't really know her at all, but she does seem like she might have done adult industry work as I have seen some of her "modeling" on instagram and I know she has a guy like twice her age with money she is dating. There is another guy in the office who it took less than a week for his BG check to clear. Maybe I am worrying for nothing but yeah I am at this point that I am like maybe I should just slow down my prospecting till it clears and I am fully legitimate with a license # that isn't pending... x_x Because what if once they finish the check I basically lose my license over some bs? All the prospecting would be a total waste of my time not to mention embarrassing if they called me and I can't sell their house after all. I work at a small company- not any Remax or Coldwell Banker for reference (I know this was mentioned in another related thread). I am in residential right now as commercial is insanely hard to get into around here because it is insanely good money.

Would you think armed security would uncover this type of work? They have pretty crazy background checks- debating applying there. I am assuming well paid manufacturing jobs could hardly give less of a fuck- at least that was my experience when I worked there. They have the attitude that money is hard to come by and get it however you can as long as you don't hurt anyone. Someone I know suggested that I go and apply at the school districts as they are well paid/well benefited/part time jobs that are excellent if you are starting a business, but I know from reading stuff here that is absolutely not an option for me. I am considering dancing on the side- it's just I always hear it pays terrible around here to the point camming is much better. This is something I hear both online and offline. I live in the Pacific NW for reference. I know I can always go back to camming, but I am trying to avoid it for now. I live in a small city, and people around here are rather judgemental. In the actual "city" people are heavily liberal and I don't think people would give a fuck at all who strips who cams except maybe some circles.

If I (dumbly) fucked myself out of a lot of options, I guess it is ok. When I was on here a little while ago and constantly bitching about hating camming I was going through a lot of shit including a breakup where the guy was shaming me for the camming etc etc. Either way I will be absolutely fine I guess, but wondering how to best use my time right now. Please excuse my rambles just anxiety talking right now.

    Thank you <3

    Hey CreativeName,
I am in the real estate industry as well and being in the adult field. Frankly, being an the adult industry does not matter in the real estate field but I also do not broadcasted it either. However, I live in California and having an adult career matter less in the real estate industry here. Particularly in the bay area unless you wanted to work for some sort of mom/pop real estate place. People in real estate tend to care less particularly in luxury real estate, timeshares sales, and commercial real estate. They care about sales and presenting a professional yet conservative image. My advice would be just keep being professional and nothing will happen. I would not worry too much for real estate license clearing....it takes some time for everything to clear. If I was you, I would wait until everything clears before trying to sell because you want to make sure that everything will be right I hope this helps!

A very close friend of mine has her real estate licence and she was a contract girl for Vivid. She has switched back and forth between being in porn, camming and quitting to take up real estate again and again. Im pretty sure if she got her licence, given the kind of exposure she has, you getting one as a cam girl is no issue!

Default What Is the Age for Me to Stop Camming?

Hey girl hey~ I'm 20 years old and I love Chaturbate and my followers, I enjoy camming and making homemade porn, but it is obvious that I have to stop doing this someday, say, if I get married and have kids... (I'm single now though) What is the age to stop camming?

Also, I am also a part-time piano teacher, will I lose my future jobs as a piano teacher, accompanist or music theory teaching if someone finds out I was a cam model? (I use a name that has nothing to do with my real identity, blocked viewer regions of my country and frequently works with CB support to take down illegal capping/recordings of my shows.)

You stop whenever you want to stop. Your body, your hustle, your rules. However, if I were you I'd start looking for an 'out' now. Not entirely, just planning for retirement or a nice nest egg, side gig, whatever. You're still young so you have your whole life ahead of you but you might find yourself a lifer- which is still okay. I say plan for the future but hustling as hard as you can and saving, investing NOW. 10 yrs is going to fly by (it's been 8 yrs for me since I started back in 09').

You being found out is very possible. I doubt anyone would recognize you, but you never know who's dad is jerking to live cammodels. I'd disguise heavily (I still do) by wearing wigs or contact lenses, and contouring your face if you're that worried. People are finicky about their kids, and there have been situations of ex-porn stars, cammodels getting 'exposed' by students, etc. So yeah, teaching and cam may not work well but I think you can do well giving out private lessons if you disguise yourself. FUCK EM.

Also, blocking regions don't work if the sites have affiliates and white labels because they depend on outside marketing. The one time I was 'caught' (I denied it of course) was from a tubesite from a male aquaintance that had been crushing on me for years. I had 7 states blocked at that time including the one he lived in (which was my own at the time) and he took me pvt for 10 min and said "You kinda look like my friend, (insert my name), I've always wanted to see her rack."

I denied and blocked him and he hit me up on my private social media (he was already a friend on there) and said that he saw a chick that looked like me the night before and asked if I'd ever heard of (insert white label site here). That he had the best show of his life, and only got suspicious because he was blocked after. I denied it and he never brought it up again. Also, I did a faceless gs (from start to finish NO FACE AT ALL) once and my stalker ex found it and linked me. My background was different and all because I was at a relatives at the time. O.o

Because its a common question. No disrespect to the girly who just asked about being a piano teacher. Ive started moving post instead of diverting original threads. Its a lot easier and more organized. I may change the name of this thread to something that stands out for the many people who have these concerns.

    What age to stop camming???

The answer is what age do you want to stop. Since you say you want kids and a marriage. you actually do have to carve out time in your life to make those things happen. There is no way of knowing when you will meet that person to have that marriage you are looking for. and as for kids there are so many options out there.

Just like there is no way of knowing when you will meet a person you want to have a marriage there is also no way of knowing when you will be outted for doing this line of work. It's a matter of when and how it plays out.

Everyone who has been outed has their own story of how it went down and how they've handled it. Grade 8 I had a supply teacher name Courtney Cox had no clue at the time that name is a porn star, the teacher brought it up and changed the whole vibe of the classroom, NONE Of the kids knew that name but she "educated" us on it and brought her own Fortune telling powers and ruined it for herself.

When really she should have said nothing and waited if it was going to be an issue.

Why is it always the male "friend" who's been crushing on us for years who ends up finding us??? Smh. This asshole had created a Photobucket photo album with lingerie pics of me, and with my real name in the caption. I had to get Photobucket to take it down, but I have no idea how long it'd been up before I saw it. This is a dude I fucking went to high school with, and he's currently on my state's sex offender registry...

That sounds awful Thebrownfox. Happened to me too, this guy who always had a crush on me found me and felt the need to tell me on facebook. He didn't say or do anything since than tough. I think this guys that had a thing for us feel the need to have this revenge thing like:"caught ya" and shoving it in your face.

    Thx sistas
You can be married with kids and still cam lol. Of course it takes an open minded guy, but it's actually (in my opinion) a great job for moms. I'm pretty much a stay at home mom, except I work a couple hours after the little ones in bed. I only wish I'd started at your age. I'd have a much larger nest egg by now and probably own a home. I say as long as you like it, keep going. Save Save Save! if you want to teach at post secondary level I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you want to teach little kids it might be a problem. Unlikely but possible.

Default Can camming lead to me getting fired/no career?

    Hi everyone

Ive heard many different answers to this, but Im not sure what to believe. If youve worked in the adult industry and decide to leave it to work on a career youve always wanted, can you be denied or fired if the the company your working for finds out your past in the xxx industry? I started camming young and I wish this question im asking is something I put a little more time and thought into before starting camming incase it effects my career choices in the future

ive been a camgirl for over 4 years and im pretty well known, I also have a youtube channel which has a large following that has nothing to do with camming (i just do makeup etc) and TONS of people who know me off camming find me there (I dont mention my youtube anywhere on adult sites) I mean, I dont care who finds out my adult work stuff, But I do care if im unable to work in the career I want to be in when I decide to quit camming at the end of this year to focus on a job in the real world (I want to work with refugee charities and work on animal reserves) and im scared being a past adult worker from camming will effect that greatly...

    what do you guys think...?

Default Re: Will Being A Camgirl Effect My Future?

    Hi there Mishimishi

Are you US based? I am in the UK so I imagine it's very different.

I haven't personally had issues. Up until recently I volunteered with very vulnerable people (young people and adults); so an extensive background check was needed and I was fully prepared to be rejected but I wasn't. I don't know whether or not anything came up, but you know, that may be of some comfort to you..

I think the thing with sex work is, you do have to make it worthwhile if you catch my drift (and by the sounds of it, you have - go you! )

I hope that's some comfort to you. There may be those with opposing views, but I would be VERY surprised if camming caused you any issues working with refugee charities or animal shelters.

    xx

From what I have seen/heard, it just depends on those in the field you are leaning toward. Some careers are very strict on such things...like being a teacher is one of them if I'm not mistaken. In some states, you can be fired for any reason and/or no reason at all so if someone wants to be an asshole to you in upper management who may find out...they can. That is like the "right to work' states like Florida (where I am)...You can be fired for no reason...so if you manager doesn't like you, they can just fire you if they want to.

I say give it a shot! I don't think it would hurt to at least try to follow your career goals and see what happens.
