Due to lack of ratings thats all Get a few to rate and it should go back up

I read somewhere today (I was doing a bunch of research and spent hours going through threads) that if you are gone for awhile your stars go down. It is easy to get them back up though if you just ask a few guys to rate you.![]()
Yep, this is true. I have a SM account that I haven't used in months but I login once in a while to keep it from getting deactivated in case I ever want to use it again. It's still 'active' and lets me login to read emails or use if I wanted to, but it's dropped back to the original 4 stars you start out with.

Nope i was at 5 stars still till today. i log in regularly to check referrals too. think its probably the lack of ratings for the shows i did. thanks ladies![]()
It's because some of your ratings drop off at a certain point. Not sure how long it takes, but I think they're catching up with it now, so I think you only keep your ratings for a couple months. Go back to some old pay periods and see how many ratings you have left. My guess is that you'll have periods where you only have one or two ratings.
Not sure when they started doing this, but I first noticed it about 3 months ago. Since you probably have very few ratings left, it should be easy to get them back.
SM's rating system is no different from MFC it's just in stars instead of numbers so:
If you don't Log on often
Lack of ratings
Low Ratings
Spend the Majority of you time in free
Fast Paid Sessions
No Comments
Low Earnings
This Affects Ratings and Placement

Wow, thanks so much Ms L, & Ladies! I took forever to get to 5, but was at 4.5 for the longest..

Actually, your "stars" have nothing to do with how much money you make, etc. It's purely your ratings from customers. Yes, your placement includes all those other things mentioned.
SM only counts the ratings from the last 90 days when calculating your overall rating. They just changed the "My Ratings" page, so check it out. Also, if you haven't been on there in a while/ you don't have many ratings, it will drop because you have to have at least 5 ratings for them to calculate your rating at all.
Until you have a total of 5 ratings from customers, you automatically keep your 4 star rating... even if you're not new on the site. Once your ratings drop off, if you have less than 5 ratings left, they will automatically put you back at 4 stars. Just ask guys for ratings and you'll be back up there in no time.
The same thing happened to me Katie. I was off there for a few months and when I went back I still had 5 stars. Did a couple pvts and they gave me 5 stars and 2 days later I looked at my profile and I had 4.
Every other site I've been on has never done that regardless of how long I was off.
LAME !!

that's why I like MFC if I do well my cam score goes up and I get better placement, if I do poorly then my cam score goes down and I don't get the best placement. streamate how ever has recently been a pain in the ass and not because of ratings.
Unfortunately it's probably because that's the day the computer dropped the old ratings. I know, it's kinda lame. They've also been really messing with placement and we have no idea what that's all about. I'll look at the site and a model who just signed off will be on the first page of offline models and ten minutes later will be on the fifth page. But there are models who've only ever worked ONCE on the site who are on the first page of offline models and a model who hasn't worked in 6 MONTHS is on the first page. There's really no rhyme or reason to that.
But as far as your rating, there is an actual pattern/formula. Just go back and check your ratings. You can actually look to see how many are still there and when they were earned.
