    Question Clarisonic..who uses?

Hi, I was in Sephora, they were giving a demo, I was surprised, it wasn't scratchy/rough like I thought. They claim their brush oscillates, & doesn't hurt your skin, the others do, so they say. Anyway I was thinking of getting the smaller one, the Mia..anyone on here use it, do you like it? Thanks!

I feel like those brushes only work on 2 types of people. 1.) people with really dry skin & not acne prone at all, or 2.) people with congested pores that never get acne. It made me break out for like a month straight, and I rarely ever get acne. And I made sure to clean it properly and use my own cleansers with it that never caused acne before.

I don't own one, but I know plenty of people who do and I've read a ton of reviews. From what I've heard, the first 2 weeks or so are the purging phase and all of your impurities rise to the surface, which will give you bad skin but it means it's working. After the purging face, it evens your skin tone and gets rid of acne. Most of the people I know who own one claim it's a lifesaver, but I can't tell you from personal experience, because I don't own one.

I cant imagine living without it! before my face had a) congested pores in the nose and chin and b) irritated skin that flaked off around my nose. I tried sooooo many product$$$, and getting facials, but with no long term improvement and i wasted soo much money. I was willing to try anything and heard about clarisonic. I bought the Mia and my skin has been clear and smooth since, no bumps and no flakes. I love it so much! In the end i saved money on products and it allowed the products i do still use to sink in nicely. I highly reccomend. I started by using it everyday, now i only use it when my face starts to feel congested, like 2-3x a week.

I bought myself a Mia about two weeks ago. It's exactly what I wanted - I always was peeling and doing masks, but never had a consistent change in the texture of my skin. I'm just coming out of the purging phase and I'm addicted to brushing my face now. Definitely noticed a huge difference in how all my products are sitting on the skin and moisturizers are being absorbed better! I say try it, if you don't like it you can return it.

You'll probably like it then if you don't get acne.

i started on it two weeks ago and my skin was crap for about a week but now it's baby smooth! i'm mildly obsessed with mine, try it out! like other people are saying you can return it. Ulta has a promotion where they give you an extra brushhead and a free pack of stuff with it.

I'm in love with mine. It's sooo nice to use after work, because it buffs all the foundation out of the crevices of your skin. It's gross to think about how much makeup I was leaving on my face before! I've used all the brush heads: sensitive, regular, and deep clean. None of them are scratchy or irritating. I've had my clarisonic for a year now and I'm very happy with it. My skin has also cleared up a lot.

I use the pro one and it's really helped my skin. I notice a huge difference when I use it and when I don't -- my skin feels smoother and healthier, the products I use absorb better, makeup looks better, and I definitely get less acne. It's especially great for taking off makeup really thoroughly after working at the SC.

I have oily, acne prone skin, and it has done nothing but help me. I guess everyone's different, though.

Chiming in because I've had one sitting on my wishlist for the longest time. What cleansers do you guys mainly use? The ones that come with it or your own?

sometimes dermalogica (pms week to help w breakouts), sometimes cetaphil (most of the time), sometimes baking soda (after drinking, helps my ph balance i think), depending. i find gentle cleansers work best with it, mild foam ones for taking off makeup.

Thank you. I haven't heard too much about how people feel about the included cleansers, but the device itself seems like it rocks. Christmas present it is!

cetaphil is seconded. i got a shiseido foaming cleanser sample and it was nice too!

the included cleansers were no different than cetaphil to me.

bumping because i'm now 3 weeks in this thing has changed my life, it's ESSENTIAL for anyone sweating in heavy makeup like we do night in and night out!!! you'll never need a facial again, it's an excellent investment.

I got the MIA today as a Christmas present. Sephora has a good return policy if you don't like something you bought there. I thought about getting the PRO but didn't wantto put all my christmas present money plus some of my own towards it. I am curious about the Olay professional cleansong system because several people said they liked it as much or better than Clarisonic, some said they liked them both but for different reasons, a I've only seen a couple mentions of liking the clarisonic flat out better.
I might get the Olay version this week as an occasional exfoliator and body polisher even if I do keep the MIA.
p.s. I'm pretty sure Ulta prices their Clarisonic Pro $25 cheaper.

I use the Olay ProX brush that got the amazing reviews...I love it. I don't know how it compares to the Clarisonic, but I'm glad I didn't spend all that money on one when I'm extremely happy with Olay's.

I bought the Mia 2 after reading this thread..used it for the first time yesterday. Was easy to set up, used it in the shower. Feels gentle and is pretty intuitive...hopefully it works wonders over the next few weeks!

Only thing is that I got a rhinoplasty two months ago and when I put it on my nose area it felt so weird I started sneezing like crazy LOL.

I tried this as well - unfortunately I tried it the same time as trying out Peter Thomas Roth's Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel , and am trying to figure out if it is the cleanser or the brush that is making my skin look fantastic. Id lean more towards the gel since it has alpha and beta hydroxy acids in it, but my T-zone is the clearest it has been in ages without using that blackhead gunk removing tool.Im going to take a long break from the Olay ProX and see how it fares, but in combo with that cleanser it is incredible
