No way, I hate how it gets my pillowcases all dirty. Plus I would have to retouch it up in the morning, so might as well redo it. I do a heavy smoky eye but have my routine down pat, doesn't take me more then 5 minutes. I don't use fake eyelashes, so that cuts down the time alot.

I have been guilty of working until 3am or so and getting up with makeup still on and working again at noon! It takes me a while to get my makeup just right because I'm so damn picky, so eh, why not! I will always end up washing it off and redoing it before the next night shift tho, so I'm not wearing anything longer than a day.

I also buy makeup that is really good at not smudging so that helps with sleeping/pillowcases/etc.

Never, I wouldn't just cuz my skins sensitive so I try to wash it often. I wear way too much make up anyway. If i ever fall asleep with my make up on I end up with like eyeliner all over my pillows, forehead, hands, lol everywhere. Anyone see that simpson episode where homer has a make-up gun and sets it to "whore" and shoots marge in the face? Lol i've always wanted one of those.

yup. Two Faced Shadow Insurance and some waterproof formulas makes it bullet proof. Fucks my pillowcases, sheets, and anything else I touch but my eyes look smashing the next day. After 24hrs is a bit too grimey though.

Im sure Ill get an infection though.

What brand of eyeshadow to you use? The eyeshadow I am wearing now hardly even lasts to the end of my 4 hours shift.

I sometimes wear plum eyeshadow and black mascara, and I've been too damn lazy to wash it off properly before going to sleep.

I use Coastal Scents, you can get it online. It always lasts a really long time for me, I love it!

someone told me that every night that you don't remove your eye makeup, you're aged a week.

i don't know if i should believe it or not, but i'd take it off...

My eyeballs would surely feel like falling out after anything more than 10 hours of wear. I have really sensitive eyes. I like playing with my makeup though. I dont mind reapplying. There is no better feeling then painting a pretty picture and slapping some whorelashes on it.

OT, but I hate Coastal Scents. I'm probably the minority, but I don't trust the quality. They're too cheap.

I've taken naps with my makeup on and when I wake up it looks fine. I just use a shirt as my pillowcase, so I don't get my actual pillowcase dirty. I don't sleep all night with my makeup on, but it's not really a chore to me, I love putting on my makeup.

I think the markup for makeup is huge and so big to cover packaging
and advertisement. I haven't gotten coastal scents but I've read a lot
about them and seen them on youtube tutorials a lot.

I like that they're made in the US and I also like that I can read and buy
most of their ingredients because they also show you how to make your own to match
    discontinued shades.

It's definitely not good for your eyes to leave makeup on for that long, but I'm guilty of it, hell I'm gonna do it tonight I always take off the rest of my face makeup, though. The eyes are just hard to remove and I'm lazy.

The "age a week for every night you leave makeup on" thing sounds kind of crazy... but at the same time... probably better safe than sorry.

Indeedly. Everything you mentioned is why I'm sold on getting a few palettes. Some of those ladies on youtube make that cheap makeup look good. Holding off on it because I have a train case full of make-up, most of it unopened that I've owned for more than a year. XD Most days I find myself doing smokey eyes, tinted lipgloss, and that's it...

Anywho, I sleep in my makeup sometimes. I'm really bad about doing anything hygiene oriented after a certain hour, so I wake up with racoon eyes and sometimes slub around out and about like that. Not like most people can tell. I use that cheap E.L.F. primer to set my shadow and it doesn't smudge. My eyeliner is a different story. The liquid tends to flake, the pencil fades out, the gel smears. I should make a better habit of washing it all off before I sleep because I get little styes and they're irritating as hell.

Thumbs up Re: leaving on eye makeup

It is a really good idea to take all your makeup off every night. If time is an issue, try the makeup remover wipes, I find they make taking stubborn eye makeup off much quicker and easier. Just make sure you rinse the remover off with water after, as I find some brands sting a bit. A little effort will save your skin as you get older!

Elf, yeah I luv them! Haven't seen the brand around, I know they're online, but I like to just buy stuff at the store sometimes.
Yeah, some of those wipes (I used to clean face) don't really work great, esp. w/resistant makeup..Neutrogena brand's supposed to be good

The Oil of Olay wipes are pretty good, and I use Colorstay foundation and lots of eyeliner...takes it all off. If you have sensitive skin though, I recommend taking any residue from the wipes off afterwards, especially around the eye area.

I didn't know it was possible to sleep in makeup and have it look nice the next day ...

Whenever I fall asleep (or, more likely, pass out) still wearing my makeup, the next day, I look a hot mess... I wake up and my fake eyelashes are stuck to my boyfriend's chest, there's eyeshadow all over his pillowcases, eyeliner smudged making me look like I have two black eyes...

    no bueno.
