    Default Sad News

I haven't been here for a few years. Hopefully, some of you remember me. The local club quit having male amateur night for a while and I didn't start doing it again when they restarted. My friend Kitty, who also used to post here quit from Dancers' Ranch in Cedar Rapids, IA due to health problems. She has slipped and banged her shoulder against the pole and had lasting shoulder problems and some jackass grabbed her in private dance and squeezed and may have thrown out her back.

A couple years ago, she had to get stents in her vertebral arteries due to dissection, which put her at an increased stroke risk. On Friday, she died of an apparent stroke while visiting her boyfriend in Pittsburgh and it falls largely to me to go through her stuff. We're donating most of her clothes to the women's shelter, but I doubt they or Goodwill will want her stripper clothes. What is a good thing to do so they don't go to waste? All the strippers I know are retired.

    Clark,

I am really sorry to hear that. That news made me sad even though I neither know you nor Kitty. May Kitty attain Nirvana!

Clark, hi I am so sorry to hear about your friend..I think you can actually sell them on this forum, look under For Sale section, or try the adult section on Ebay, or, if you wanted to try selling them in clubs..I would recommend the 1st two.
On Ebay adult section, things supposed be new, you can say it's been washed, tried on only over garments, etc.
    Good luck

Thank you. Selling is a good idea. She left behind a diabetic cat and her boyfriend, her roommate and I are trying to raise money for his care.

As far as research, this list of Google search results might be useful at least for guidance:

If there is a regular vet the cat sees, ask their office to recommend a program that suits their needs.

Pet care is a popular feature, since supplies and food are less of a personal obligation

Also, maybe try etsy or buffalo exchange? look for locations in your area, they may take shoes

I'm so sorry about your lost. I was going to suggest to sell or donate her stuff at a club near you. Her old club maybe. My condolences to you.

Clark I am very sorry to hear of your loss.

As for the clothing I would sell it off, and do make mention of it here as some people may be interested in buying. Use the money to support the diabetic cat.

Thanks everyone. I keep wanting to go by her old club and see if any of the dancers or bouncers she liked still work there, but can't bring myself to do it. Is anyone connected there?

Finally got the cause of death. It was atherosclerosis. This was probably related to her coke addiction. She'd been hooked for a while, then got off it a couple years, then was back on a year or so. She'd been off it for a year, but I guess the damage was done.

I'm so sorry. You seem like a wonderful friend to be doing that much. Sell the clothes to support her cat, in my opinion.

Its going to take time..a loss of a friend is very hard. Only people who have been n a similiar situation can truly understand imho. U r wonderful to try and help her cat and try to take care of what she left behind. She sounded like she struggled alot..I dont believe in heaven or hell personally but at least she isnt suffering. Thats a good thing. Ive lost someone I loved very much..so I know loss..Even tho she was a friend..I wish u the best and if u cant deal w her dance stuff right now wait til u can..it all takes time to be able to handle..
