    Default Wiggin out

I want to change my look with a wig. I can't imagine going to the hairdresser every month to dye my roots or even having to style my hair everyday for camming.
So, I thought why not a wig?

Does anyone else use a wig? Does it look and feel natural to you?

I wanna be able to move around and dance in it... Does anyone have suggestions for places to buy good wigs?

I've shopped online a bit, seems like the human hair wigs cost hundreds... I do want to keep costs down...Do synthetic wigs vary greatly? Can you get away with synthetic?

I wore a wig for awhile, just a $30 wig from ebay and it looked natural. Its synthetic and from Hong Kong Make sure you secure it really well or you'll have it sliding back throughout the night. I stopped wearing it cause for me it wasn't worth the hassle.
    lol wut?

I used a synthetic wig for a while; I also use them for cosplay. Kanekalon or toyokalon fibre tends to look and feel really nice.

I tend to buy my wigs from coscom because they're not too expensive, but if you have a larger head (like I do) some of them run a little small. (I've had to sew on extra wefts at the bottom or sides, this helps when I'm camming and flipping it around.) They also ship free to the US and Canada! That being said, there are some great ebay sellers with a good selection, too!

I love my wigs! ForeverYoung brand is my favorite - looks real and also affordable. Dust it with wig powder or cornstarch to take off the unnatural shine, style it well and it will look great.

I have worn wigs thruout the years but I really don't now. They tend to annoy me more than anything else, especially if were to be up dancing.I just find them to be itchy. However I haven't ever tried human hair. Which I imagine would help.

I really only pop a wig on now for photoshoots,or something that's gonna be over fast,I don't think I could work in one on cam all day.

So whenever I want to change my look I just grab some of the hair dye from manic panic that washes out after a few weeks. I don't like permanent dye either because I have commitment issues, plus guys like my natural red color,so it's nice that it doesn't last to long.

As for not wanting to style your hair everyday I can understand that to. But I've noticed they kinda like it more when you don't anyway.
They kinda like that just rolled outa bed look.

Plus after a whole shift of working I have a bad habit of playing with my hair or running my hands thru it outa boredom and it ends up looking like that anyway.

When I first started camming I used to wear a wig. I loved the look of it but it was hot as hell! Wearing it in everyday life didn't bother me, but the constant moving around and performing on cam always made me feel overheated. Something to keep into consideraton. Plus, I have really long hair and I found it took significantly longer to get ready to cam because the braiding, tucking, pinning, etc. to put on the wig cap can take a really long time. But then again my hair is also down to my butt and crazy thick so you may not have that problem.

As far as cheap places to get a wig, if you have any Jamaican beauty stores in your neighborhood they usually have a huge selection and are often Very cheap. I got mine for $20 but it looks beautiful and I always get compliments on my hair when I wear it out in public.

When I first started camming I wore wigs to conceal my identity but then after about a month it was just a hassle. My wigs were expensive ones too, real human hair $100+, but my customerrs still were able to tell they were wigs. Those things were itchy as hell too, and no matter how well I pinned them down they always moved around during my pvts. I also got headaches from them constricting bloodflow so after awhile I said screw it I don't want to wear them anymore.

They are fun to wear once in awhile just to switch things up

i have a couple that i wear every now and then - they have hair combs that you can sew into the wig to help with slipping- mine are mostly inexpensive 35.00 give or take - I bought mine in a store and the nice lady there trimmed the bangs on each one so that they looked the way I wanted - i also have some of the Jessica Simpson hair pieces - they clip in with hair combs - not as hot as the wigs since they dont go over your whole head -

I prefer a fall to a wig personally because of the previously mentioned issues with itching, overheating, fake appearance and maintenance issues. The thing about having a fall is that if you wear bangs and you buy your own color its a nice new hairstyle but if you choose a new color you become Rockabilly, Pinup or Indie-gal.. the potential is limitless and of your choosing depending on your level of creativity and sense of style.

It's a half wig, have you ever wondered how the P-Boy Bunnies have such perfect hair styles? Only their natural bangs show but the fall looks like it's their real hair. Holly Madison wore them a lot during her show with Hef.

Here is an example. The wig goes over the crown of her hed and then she combs her real hair over it, causing a blend. It looks very natural.

I recently ordered a new wig, totally sight-unseen, on the advice of LaurieLegs and MaryJayne. It's a Kanekalon fiber wig from Forever Young. The style I got is not 100% perfect, so I had to dick around with scissors for a while, trimming here and there, but I have to say that the fibers used to make the hair are AWESOME, and way better than the wigs I used to get in costume stores!!! I won't be getting a non-Kanekalon wig again. It doesn't make mattes (sp?) at the back of my neck, and it actually brushes out 100%, so I can tell it will last me a lot longer than my other wigs. I ordered from here: http://www.voguewigs.com/forever-young-wigs.html I found that to be the best price offered, taking into account the free shipping for orders over $50.

    Hope this helps someone! :-)

I wear a wig on cam to disguise my identity. When I first started camming a wore a cheap one and often was asked, "are you wearing a wig?"

In December I bit the bullet and bought a $150+ wig at a wig shop. It was nice because I got to try on a bunch and the lady gave me all sorts of "wig tips". I never wore one before camming. No one has asked me if I am wearing a wig since I got it.

Also, the nice thing about a wig is it saved you time. I had a ton of hair and it is really long. Straightening it or styling it takes over an hours. Now I just pin my hair to my head and throw my wig cap/wig on and I am golden!!!

^^ That is the exact reason I'd like to have a wig. I'd want something natural and red though so that it looked similar to the hair I already have since red head is part of my niche. My hair gets greasy soooo easy though, I'd love to find a good wig.

I think wearing a wig adds abit of mystery. Which to me is kinda sexy. Remember Pretty Woman?

Lol, the title of this thread makes me think of the bachelorette party scene in "40 Year Old Virgin".

I wore a wig when I first started dancing b/c I was afraid having short hair would decrease my earnings. I like the way the wig looked, but it made me SO hot (temperature-wise). I'd get all sweaty after dancing 2 or 3 songs in a row, which was not cute. I think a fall might be a good idea, not only for the reasons already mentioned, but also because it doesn't cover your entire head and is less likely to overheat you.

Choosing a right hair color for yourself is important when you decide to change a hairstyle. So it is with the hair wig. Some people choose to wear hair wigs when they want a fresh hair style. And there are different hair colors of hair wigs for different people, such as European style wigs for white women and African American short curly wigs for black women which can be found in .

Wow, this thread is old. At first when I saw the title, I thought it'd be about a model "wiggin' out" cuz someone she knows recognized her on cam or something.
