Does anyone know of any good videos or ways that can help me dance better? I'm terrible at it and am tired of looking stupid on stage.

How long have you been dancing?
It took me a good few months before I started looking good on stage.
I used to watch how the other girls danced and practised when the club was dead.

Before I actually auditioned anywhere I practiced a LOT at home. I'd record myself and then watch it after so I knew what looked good and what didn't. I also looked up a lot of videos on YouTube for lap dances and floor work and basic pole (I didn't have a pole to practice on but I'd use the doorframe to practice poses and like walking around it). It really helps to record yourself because sometimes I'd be dancing and to me I felt so sexy and thought I looked amazing until I watched the video after and realize I looked awkward or stupid lol.
Im not amazing on the pole since I never practice on one but everyone always compliments my dancing! Good luck!![]()

The most important thing, imo, is to learn how to walk on stage in a sexy, confident way. To me, even seasoned girls who walk sloppily, slouched or too fast just ruin the aesthetic. Exaggerate your hips, but not too much. Arch your back pushing your ass out and your chest forward. Don't slouch or push you body over your knees--this just looks terrible and is what alot of new dancers seem to do in an attempt to keep their balance. If you don't have hips you can create the illusion of hips by walking so that your steps cross one another instead of in a straight line, if that makes sense.

Altogether in my life I've danced a total of maybe 15 days. I've worked 2 days so far this year. I'm okay but I do the same lame things over and over on stage. Watching other girls doesn't seem to help either :/ I haven't danced since a year ago, when I was heavy so I naturally didn't have the self confidence and I don't count all of that...
And to the other girls thank you!!! That really helpsI guess I'll practice/record at home a bunch and all of that before I go into work again.

Practicing at home and recording yourself is great advice! I did that a lot.
As everyone has said, move slowly and look confident. For pete's sake, engage your abs/keep your tummy tight and point your toes. Please. I'm asking nicely.
If you're not a great dancer, pose! Striking a super hot pose can be just as sexy as an awesome dance move.
Google 'stripper silhouette' in images and take some ideas from there.
YouTube is your friend! Do a search for floor work videos, pole dancing videos, etc. There are TONS of them. And then, while you're watching them, get up off of your ass and TRY some stuff! Otherwise you'll forget everything you learned the second you hit the club.
Pretend you're in a slow-motion Victoria's Secret commercial / fashion show. Add some stripper moves on top, and you're good to go.

Okay, so I'm doing a lot better with private dances. I'm still a dumbass on stage but learning. Thank you charlie61, that helps a lot! I'm just bad at watching and trying to mimic but I'll keep trying !

There are videos you can buy on amazon. I bought them and sold them right back. Pretty much they were just teaching you the same stuff that you can learn for free by watching the other girls. Also I just went to youtube and did a search and a few videos came up. There's a good chance that some one is teaching some kind of stripper class in your area. We have them in St. Louis. Their like 15 dollars per class here.

It's over 100 for pole dance lessons here I believe, or 90. Thank youI just learn from other girls and use youtube! I'm bad at mimicking but it'll take time. <3
