I had some in my wrists for a while, but they ended up rejecting. I have really sensitive skin though, and part of the issue might have been that the jewelry in mine became stuck somehow, so when I went to change it out, I had to go back to the piercer and basically have him wrench that shit out. Getting them done wasn't too bad. The clamp definitely tickled, but the rest just felt comparable to blood being drawn really low on my arm.

I used to want an anti-eyebrow piercing, but I ended up not wanting the scar tissue from it and got my lip done instead. I think a microdermal on the cheekbone would be hot as hell, but I can't see most customers liking it. You can take the jewelry top out of a microdermal to better conceal it, but you can still feel it and if you look closely, it's like a little metal tube coming out of your skin without the top. I don't think most men would be able to see that in the club though. If/when you want it out, you'll have to cut it out, as the skin grows back in/around it. The base of the piercing meets the tube that comes out of your skin at a right angle and extends to a flat cylinder shape with a hole in the middle of it. When I took mine out, I had skin grown into that hole, so it all had to be cut and the scar doesn't look too hot.

When they snag on things, they hurt like hell, so I don't know that you'll enjoy one right where your jeans might hit when you sit and the like. But I'll be a hypocrite and say that one of my favorite places I've seen microdermals is in back dimples. Other favorites are clavicles, hips, and cleavage. I think these would stand more of a chance of working to your favor in the club than the facial piercing, especially if you get the more decorative tops, like the rhinestones or hearts, stars, etc.

I think the cheek ones can look cute as hell depending on placement and jewelry. I wanted one in the same place once upon a time, but I'm trying to keep my face from looking "cluttered". So I'm putting them everywhere else. One on my left hand in the middle of the little star I have there, one underneath my belly button, one on the nape of my neck (after I get my nape piercing which I haven't had the courage to yet), one on my "cleavage", and two in the "tramp stamp" area imitating a bar. I'm still flip-flopping on whether I want to get my cheeks done, but if I do, those will be dermals as well (less complication).

I don't think a customer would mind too much as the type of jewelry you said you'd wear would just look like a rhinestone on your face to the untrained eye, especially if you tend to go all out glam. I think it'd be cute as hell.

(I got these from google image because I'm lazy)

WHAT DO YOU MEAN they have to be cut out coz the skin grows on them? dear god i wanna know what it looks like after. i dont want anyone cutting anything out of my face. which is why i thought ill get the navel one first coz if that fucks up well i dont really care.

i dont care much about what the customers think either. ive seen girls with cheek ones make money, i always get complimented on my monroe coz its a feminine piercing... but half the time it gets mistaken for a beauty spot coz i wear a black stud

thats what it looks like getting cut out of your face, it really aint as bad as it looks and theyll numb it first. the area looks swollen after because there was the metal from the piercing resting under the skin but it goes away pretty fast and youre left with a tiny scar

im getting hip piercings with dermals soon and i cant wait theres like a 2-5% rejection rate if you look after them properly and id take that over a regular piercings rejection rate

Lol! Yeah, it's a little plate under your skin, so it has to be cut out.

I'm really tempted as well, but I absolutely hate the healing period of new piercings.....

I have had two of these bad boys before. I got one on my sternum, and I absolutely loved it to pieces. Unfortunately, I had a puppy at the time, and I went to pick her up. She clawed it right out. It wasn't painful. I suppose it happened too quickly. It was more shocking than anything. Technically, she only pulled it halfway out, so it was awkwardly hanging out of my chest lol. I wish I'd taken a photo of it! The piercer let me come over, they were able to just pull it out the rest of the way, which wasn't very painful either. She said she would redo it for free after it healed, which was lovely of her. So, I waited several months. If you didn't know where it was, you couldn't even see the scar. Fast forward, and I get a new one in the same spot, which hurt. I guess because of the scar tissue. This one didn't last either. I got a few months wear of it before it started to reject. I had it removed before it completely rejected. This time, it left more of a visible scar. It's not too noticeable, but you can see it. It's a sad reminder of my pretty piercing.
All in all, I love them. If it wouldn't reject, I'd get it again. Placement has a lot to do with it, I think. If you get it somewhere that has a lot of movement (like cleavage, if you have a lot = moving all the time), it's more likely to reject. Also, you do want to keep in mind how often it will be hit by things, like clothing, because that can cause it to get irritated and reject.
I had a friend who got one under her eye. We don't keep in touch anymore, so I don't know the fate of that piercing. It looked beautiful, but I would never put one on my face for two reasons: 1) If it rejects, or needs to be taken out, I don't want any scarring on my face and 2) if I try to get a job that cares more about appearances in the future, it'll need to be removed (then see #1).

I think I could find a photo or two, but I'm not sure how to insert an image from my computer on a message. I see where it says to add a photo with a url, but not from my computer. X.X oy.. Computer illiterate!

^ A belly one would look cute. If you want to get them, it's up to you. But, as a friend & fellow sparkles admirer, I don't think it's a good idea to get one of those things on your face. Plus, you already have a pretty distinct piercing on your face so I don't think you need it bling your mug up anymore (you are naturally beautiful & it would spoil your pretty face IMO).

I'm in the same boat! I really wanna get my back dimples pierced, but I'm kinda in a pickle...Since that's a bony spot on me, I get bruises there from stage sets, which means it'll suck ass during the healing period. Should I refrain from rolling around for a while? That makes me sad though, since rolling around is sort of my thing haha . But I REALLY want those piercings!! GAhh...indecision....

I have three on the back of my neck. I got them after I took out my horizontal nape piercing.

The nape piercing I hardly even felt...it was a kind of pain I could appreciate.

The three microdermals hurt like a bitch, especially when he adjusted them. They pop them under your skin, and you can reallllly feel it. Yow!

That being said, they healed super super quickly, were relatively painless after the procedure was over, and I LOVE them. Zero upkeep, and they're super cute.

If you're getting 2+ microdermals somewhere, make sure you bring a friend with you and spend a LONG time getting them lined up correctly. Once you get them done, you will not want to have to go back into get them readjusted...painful!!

I've had my back dimples for a year and a half. I love mine. They hardly hurt when I got them done. The only problem I had was once getting them somehow stuck in a guy's belt hole during a LD, it made an audible pop noise but nothing happened. I once got them caught in the woven fabric of a airplane seat and had to take an antibiotic. I forget about them a lot. I don't feel them at all anymore. Most people are rather cautious around them which sucks for massages.
