    Default Nose job questions

So iīm scheduled to get a nose job on jan 10th and iīm a little nervous about it. for those of you that have gotten nose jobs: was your face super swollen for a while? how long did u wait before returning to work? did anyone notice you had had a nose job not too long ago?

I was at work one night with this girl who had obviously just had a boob job and wasnīt fully healed yet. it looked kinda freaky and i wondered if her boobs were sore while dancing cuz they looks puffy. she also put on a weird bra thingy after work... her boobs look fine now, but they didnīt that night. i just donīt want to work when i shouldnīt.... how long did it take for your face to look normal? some surgeons told me a month and another surgeon said itīll take a full year to see full results. wtf?

It really depends on what you are going to do...if you are just going to adjust the tip you will be able to go back to work after just a few days, but if they are going to touch the bone be prepared to look like you were beaten really bad! You will probably not be able to work for 10 days-2 weeks I guess. After that you can probably cover what bruises are left.
If they break the bone it is also very sensitive in the beginning so you need to be careful while dancing. I know you arent aloud to even wear glasses for a while either.
    Hope this helps!

Well they are fixing the bump on my nose so i guess itīll be pretty bruised... but they said that they donīt have to cut on the outside. does that make a difference in recovery? makes me nervous to hear that i can actually harm my nose while dancing cuz iīm a really clumsy person at times... will i ruin my nose job if i accidentally hit it?

how about working out? how long do i have to wait before i can seriously work out or do pole tricks? i was too shy to ask my surgeon these questions cuz he talks to my mom and i donīt want her to know i dance!

I think it depends on how big the bump is! I can only speak from my own experience and it was really really bad. It was many year ago though so I dont really remember for how long I was not able to show my face in public but for sure over a week. It looked horrible...the face was really swallen and I had BIG bruises around my eyes...but to comfort you I need to add that it really didnt hurt AT ALL! It just looked bad.

Maybe yours will not be as bad as mine because they took away more than just a bump on mine.

But I do think you need to wait a good while until you start doing crazy pole tricks, at least a couple of months, but ask your doctor to be sure...you dont have to say you dance...tell him you play tennis or something else with a ball and that you are afraid of getting the ball in your face. Or you can ask him when it will be safe going out partying again, that you are afraid of people bumping into you.

Oh and I forgot: YES if you accidentally hit your nose while its still healing you can break it. That is if they broke the bone...while the bone is still healing you need to be careful! I especially remember how the doctor told me not to wear any glasses for a long time because the weight of the glasses could have a bad impact on the nose...so imagine hitting it!

my doctor was fabulous I had zero bruising. I had to have mine broken reset and he refined my tip. He bandages your eyes ad nose all the way around after and when I awoke I felt like someone had punched me in the nose. When I arrived home I thought I was going to be in pain after the morphine wore off but was surprised I had like zero pain. I had a sarrah jessica parker nose before so my job was extreme too. I think it depends on the skill of your surgeon and how well you heal. The packing and not being able to breath was the worst of it for me. Also you don't realize it but your nose will not look like how it's going to look for at least a year. Mine changed alot throughout that time and it's been 12 years and I think it looks a bit different t mhan a year after when it looked extremely skinny to me. Remember they say your nose and ears grow as you get older, they say you may need two surgeries to be were you want. I didn't that's why I went extreme.

I got a tipplasty two months ago and honestly it is not bad, at all. So many ladies here have been generous in giving some sage advice. Arnica will be your best friend! Be gentle with yourself and just keep up on your meds. I can't speak for any bone work, but I'll try to post up an "after" photo.

I am 2 months post op and am just now feeling comfortable to go back to work. Not because of cosmetically, I would have been okay dancing with the way I've looked after one month I'd say...but the fear of it getting hit on accident while it's still tender (and it still is, so I'm going to have to be really careful) kept me waiting another month. If you can afford it, I say wait as long as you can. You're doing major healing during the first 3 months.

I go back for my first time tomorrow since, I will let you know how it goes. I'm not worried about stage since I don't do any tricks with the pole, but lap dances since my club is medium contact.

It went really well... It was really uncomfortable at first but the discomfort lessens every day. Although it's still swollen, I can already tell I like the shape of my new nose. However, I have heard that it swells the most after they take the splint off... The surgery was three days ago and the rest of my face looks pretty normal. No bruising though. I just had quite a bit of swelling on the second day... Can't wait to get back to work in a month but I'm afraid of bumping it!
