Default What to do dermal fillers?

I've been going to the same doctor since 05 and getting restylane. He stopped using restylane 2 years ago and I tried perlane, didn't like it as I have a very skinny face and use it more for volume and that didn't do it. Last time they talked me into juvederm and well I get it for volume I don't have much nasiolabial lines and it made me look like I did. He aid it bunched up and smoothed it out. Well it looked fine for a day and I had to do it every few days for it to look normal. It did look good when I did this but it was a pain in the ass and hurt. So they won't get me resylane because they need to order 6 viles and they say I'm the only one who uses it. I'm scared to go to someone new since I did try two other people and it came out shitty(years ago) should I just try juvederm again and chalk it up to a weird experience? I'm scared it won't look as good with someone else and I'll waste 500. My dctor gives me a good deal 400 since I've been going there 7 years. Oh what to do?

He didn't talk me out of anything. they said they just don't order retylane anymore because no one uses it and they have to order 6 viles. This is true in my area as there are only 2 in my area still using restylane and he's been doing me for 7 years and does an excellent job I just had a bad experience with juvederm. Ugh pretty soon no one in my area will be using restylane maybe I should give juvederm another chance because his technique is fantastic and it lasts 7 months I don't want to go to someone else and be unhappy and waste my money but I don't want the juvederm to do that again. I don't know my girlfriend said thst happened with restylanne to her so maybe it was a one time thing?

Also restylane has a 2 year expiration date and they won't use the 6 viles in that time since I only get it every 7 months. Most people say they like the juvederm better......I talked to a surgeons wife for an hour yesterday and she said you need to be versed in both since juvederm is thicker and needs to be more superficially injected I think she said. I don't know but she said her husband only does juvederm but their other doctor does retylane but she said it's best to stick with the same product if I'm switching doctors rather than go to a new product and a new doctor or I probably wont be happy. Further freaking me out. If the other two doctors I tried years ago where ok I wouldn't worry but they weren't.

yeah, medicis is...juvederm is so superior a product to restylane that there is less and less of a reason for doctors to use it when they can get a better product from allergan for the same price.
that said, if you didn't like the way the injection turned out, it may not be the worst thing to look for a new injector. i would not let a doctor inject me with perlane, for example, unless perlane was their preferred filler and the filler they used most often. does that make sense? i chose my injector based on her volume of customers and the fact that she only used the fillers i wanted used. so all she does all day is injections.

i know that finding a new injector can be a pain in the ass but if you aren't willing to give your current doctor another shot with juvederm, then it's time to go on the hunt. good luck!

Yep I talked to another place today that someone on here told me about a few years ago and she said basically allergan makes botox and juvederm and medics makes restylane, perlane and dysport and since most people prefer botox they use that one company since both are in competition and they get better deals ordering more from one or the other, Plus juvederm costs around 100 more so equals more money for them. I think that's why most doctors are phasing it out here. I made myself crazy looking at reviews all day on line. I thought I found somebody but he got some bad reviews not on fillers but. I don't know in my experience the p.s. I went to weren't as good as the doctors with med spas I went to because they don't do surgery just fillers but at the same time I don't want to go to a n.p. I think I'll go to him one more time as it could have just been a fluke and then I'll now for sure that juvederm is just not for me and find someone else. Because I know myself if I go to someone new for retylane and am unhappy I'll just keep thinking I should of went to Dr. bowman. That's ocd for ya.

Oh also the other lady said since he just switched to juvederm like 2 years ago he may be more use to injecting resylane. She said the retylane doesn't inject as smoothly or flow as easily and maybe he wasn't use to that so it bunched up. I don't know it did look good when I smoothedm it out but it was painful and a pain in the ass. I guess I'll see. My gf had this happen once with restylane after like 5 years of no problems. I do think I get more volume with restylane though??
