I am a lesbian and a feminist, do u think that will make camming difficult for me? Are any of u actually attracted to ur customers, or just acting? Is this a job for someone of any sexuality?
Thx!![]()

I'm not attracted to my customers (well, okay..one or two have been pretty hot) but that's it. It's hard for me to have any attraction to typing on a screen that is filled with "mmmmmmmmm bb" "so hotttttt" it's all a performance and if I'm lucky enough to have a guy that is nice and interactive, it does make it more enjoyable.
This job is all about performing and entertaining so I think anyone of any sexuality can do it.

I am very rarely ever attracted to a customer (how can you really find all the "tits bb" shit arousing?) but I have found that this job has made me feel more comfortable and confident in my own skin and in my sexuality and how I view myself as a sexual person. Which I think is a very feminist viewpoint![]()
It's all an act, so it doesn't matter what you're really like or what your real preferences are. All camming will do is reinforce your ideas that men are idiots and you should not be near them... in a way, you're starting off in a better place than other girls who want to like men - you don't have to go through the "omg, I'm turning into a bitter-manhater" phase lol

LOL thanks you girls are so accepting!

Its the same as asking if you can be a good actor, or a good lawyer, or a good barista while lesbian and feminist. Its a job.
You put on the character that is appropriate for work, you work, and then you log off and become "you" again. The extent to which we put on characters varies from the girls that are just slightly hornier versions of themselves (because lets face it, even the most "honest" among us does NOT sit around naked all day wiggling seductively, thrilled to speak to everyone they see, grabbing at their boobs and talking about being horny....lol) to those who put on entirely different personas that are nothing like their real selves.
Depending on the kind of feminist you are, the only issue that you may have is with your own scruples about the sex industry. "feminist" is such a wide-ranging term, that covers everything from the women who think that you should not shave or wear makeup, and that any form of looking "sexy" is wrong, to those who cheer on all forms of the sex industry as a form of empowerment. You may also find yourself biting your tongue from time to time when dealing with some of the sexist asshats that frequent camsites - but that is no different to biting your tongue when working as a waitress, or a customer service rep in a big office....like I say, its just a job.

I was also wondering how you take being infantilized by men on the sites constantly called "baby". I just thought maybe my circumstances are a bit different from other people going into this specific job. My feminist philosophy is a body positive and sex positive feminist. The non-shaving thing is mostly a stereotype (I hope lol) I'm not "butch" or masculine or unattractive either.

No I don't mean men having infant fetish, actually I was talking about it as a feminist term. Just basically being called bb all the time but I could deal with it was kind of hoping there were some other lesbian feminists on here.![]()

Lmao if your a lesbian and feminist....Your going to have the WORST time Camming!!!
I feel like im in the French Revolution!!!!!! "Sooooo Many heads sooooo little time!!"

i am a feminist!!!! i pay my own bills and do what I want!!!! I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T!!!! i don't care if they call me bb. they can call me whatever they want at $4.99/min.
You could be whatever you want, but the real question is do you like being broke?
Being pansexual and misanthropic has served me just fine. This is a fantasy.
Hell ya Chloe, told a guy the other night I was tired of playing 20 questions with him. He replied "well if I cant ask a whore who can I ask?" To which I replied I am in fact not a whore and unless youre paying me I will not allow you to call me one so gtfo! One of my guys then took me private.

You must remember most of the adult industry involves an acting role - as does most customer service in general . I get called an 'evil nasty horny bitch ' every day as part of my job...... As for being called baby , well it's generally I doing the mothering , trust![]()

I'm also bisexual and feminist and no problems here... I think mixing business with my personal life would make things too complicated and weird.

Being a feminist means completely things to different people, so it all depends.
I could look at your post and think "Ahh! A FEMINIST! A feminist doing sex work?! CRAZY"
I could look at your post and think "Ahh somebody for women's rights. Well... she has the RIGHT to do camming.. sooo..?"
If you look upon being called "baby" as infantalism, and something moderately to highly objectionable, camming could arouse some very negative feelings in you because you will get called it a LOT. This leads me onto pointing out that if you are a feminist against female sexual objectification, against being looked upon in a sexual way, or in a way that leads you to feel that sexuality in this day and age is infested with man-against-woman patriarchy, I'd say working in the sex industry is probably the worst kind of work for you. Because as much as feminism is about women's rights, depending on the kind of feminism, sex work and feminism can be almost completely opposed.
In short, I guess, it depends on how water-tight your own definition of feminism (and what it means to you when it specifically comes to sex and sex work) is held.![]()
