I don't think they would let you do it unless your surgeon whose doing your breasts also had someone in-office who could do it. I think the laser place would turn you away at the door in that condition for liability reasons. Not to mention, from what I have heard, you are doped up on drugs, loopy, and half-asleep for like the 12 hours after your surgery. You probably won't even be able to change positions without it being really uncomfortable. Most people I know who've gotten BAs said that they felt like they were run over by a truck for the first week. I think you should wait at least 2-3 weeks IMO.

...You can't be serious.
Hmm, I don't know how great of an idea that is, the clinic that I get mine done in tells me to tell them to stop if the pain is too much, so she doesn't end up burning me. I think they only use lidocane and nothing stronger for that reason. Sounds like getting lasered while not being all there is a recipe for disaster.. And may end up in scarring. After my BA, all I wanted to do was go home, I personally wouldn't have been able to lay down for the bikini.
**edit
correct me if I'm wrong but anestesia doesn't numb your whole body? You get put to sleep and when u wake up I don't believe you are immune to pain?

I am assuming this is your first BA??

General anesthesia is usually three parts: a hypnotic, a paralytic and usually a gas for actual pain. The anesthesiologist was likely upset because s/he has no way of knowing if you were honest about the dosage. This affects the outcome of general anesthesia is a major way. Thus I would be worried if the anesthesiologist WAS NOT upset and/or concerned about it. Following their directions to the letter is IMPERATIVE to the whole process.
I think you're being a little impulsive. "Taking advantage" of the GA by having a laser hair removal person come in is not only outrageous, but usually not allowed if the technician isn't affiliated with the practice you're using.
Additionally: taking Vicodin with ibuprofen is unnecessary because Vicodin itself is cut with acetaminophen.

Still not a good idea. A BA is major surgery and your immunity will be down. Heal from one procedure before stressing your body out further. They may also deny you the treatment because of the post GA effects.
You are going to be FUCKED UP...... I know I was, and I only had a nerve block with some versed and other random stuff, not even close to as intense as general anesthesia.... and it wasn't a pleasant fucked up like after my lipo when I had the lollipop pain killer thing, valium, versed.... I felt good after that surgery. The BA was a miserable, can't even stand up or walk kind of fucked up. I had to be carried out pretty much, by Zinaida/Bobbia... LOL.

honestly, i highly doubt the laser people will be okay with that. it is a liability thing. what if you have some type of complication from you BA at their office- than you can go and sue them.
not to scare you, but you are going to be in some serious pain after. you are going to want to go straight home and get in your bed. i promise.![]()
It never hurts to ask![]()
Hang on, your clinic provides wine?! And you need all those painkillers for lasering? Something about that sounds really fishy to me. I know pain tolerances differ and lasering certainly isn't comfortable for me, but are you sure they're using the right type of laser and are accredited and such?
Toronto-based, very rough draft, constantly asking for input!
Our bodies, our rules.
Stand together or fall apart.
LOL, nooooo!!! You're not even going to want to get up to take a piss for 24 hours. Save a painkiller and muscle relaxant and take them both before your laser appointment.
If it is IPL, it should not be hurting as long as they use a halfway decent topical numbing treatment.
Also, I agree that general anesthesia can really knock you on your ass and you may not want to get up and go to your appointment. Do you really want to risk pointless cancellation fees?

The only thing I was up for doing after my BA was going straight home to my bed where I pretty much laid in agony for 3 days...
How about just asking if you can get it done while you're still out from your BA? I have had IPL done at a beauty party by a doctor. I'd had a couple glasses of wine and had numbing cream on and he even turned the laser down but it still hurt me so much I was sweating and two girls were rubbing my feet to relax me. I'm not sure I even see any results, but I've only done it once so far.

^ Plus can't lasers actually burn you bad? They are always showing horror stories on the cheesy news here... so if you have too much pain killer and they don't turn it down you could be permanently scared down there??? eeeeeek!
