I'm also a dancer and think that while transitioning from dancing to camming can be "easy", transitioning from camgirl to dancer is way harder. As camgirls, we are used to being able to ban users who are rude or timewasters/freeloaders/beggars, don't have to be touched, don't have to follow rules regarding when to be there, when we can leave take breaks etc. Strippers can't do that. It is possible to get guys kicked out for overly rude / abusive behaviour SOMETIMES but in my experience, it takes something really serious for this to happen.
the upsides are that there's a lot more money to be made (for example, I have yet to make more than 1500$ on cam in a week but for 6 months last year I made 10k/month which was between 2500-3k for 20 hours a week of work). If you get a guy to the back for dances, you are guaranteed 20-?$ instead of having to work minute to minute.
while it is a nice change of pace if you're prepared for it, it's also quite a shock if you're not.
