My skin is pale (I usually wear the lightest shade in foundations) and my hair is almost black naturally. I've always had comments about how pretty the contrast was between my light skin and dark hair.
My makeup essential is blush - usually soft pinks and corals, and I wear a lot of it because otherwise I look completely washed out. I'm very careful with bronzers and dark eye makeup, because if you don't apply it right, you will look scary. There was more room for makeup mistakes when I had fair skin/blonde hair, but I think fair skin/dark hair is so much more beautiful. As for your eyebrows, I suggest just drawing over them using a matte brown eye shadow or eyeliner.

well perhaps try on a wig in the color that you think you might like try to style it close to how you style now
and put on the wig and get a look what you would look like (or close to?)
then you make a decision
the reason im making this suggestion
because anytime you want to color your hair that a very tricky thing for many reasons
am i gonna look good? how quick can i change the old color back?
how will people respond? shock? surprised? approval?
wow u look great as a blonde, I was a blonde from like 18-26 than went back to brown and now black.ill post pics. i never looked as good blonde as u do though

I think you'd look great as a brunette but I get that it's a massive change!
If you go through with it I'd love to see pics because you have similar colourings to me (but I have blue eyes) and I've always wondered what brown would look like.
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

Be careful about going darker now that your hair's thinner. Go too dark and it could look worse -- natural blondes have less hair than brunettes so what looks normal with light hair might look very thin with dark. It might be good to start with dark blonde lowlights or medium/dark blonde. If you still want to go darker do it in small steps. See how you like light/medium browns before going all the way to black. If you dye your hair black it will be a pain in the ass to get it blonde again (going through this process myself). 'From what I can tell your picture, you seem to have a neutral to cool complexion so I think you could pull off a lot of colors.

I REALLY like it! you look very classy girl next door-ish.
I did pretty much the exact thing you are doing now. I took it a couple steps further....my hair was pale platinum almost white like your second pic and I am a natural blonde. I am also growing out my hair and have been cutting back on all styling products and heat aids and quitting the bleach. It took six months but I have stopped using all heat and almost all products on my hair. Anyways, I'm getting a little off track....I let about an inch of natural regrowth come in which is naturally medium/dark blonde with lighter variations. I then dyed about an inch below the regrowth a dark blonde to get the ombre effect although it's very subtle and natural looking. I added about 2 foils of highlights to my bang area to lighten up my face and it turned out beautiful! I had added a few low lights previously to the under sections and it all melted and blended so beautifully I can't get over it! I may add a few pure platinum highlights for effect now...
As much as I like the idea of pure platinum hair, I find it's not flattering on me or most people.
It's not really a color so it's more a statement and I think the statement is cheap, high maintenance, strippery. It also reminds me of those "scene girls."
I think it also ages me. White/gray hair=elderly. I do NOT want to be portrayed as elderly.
