So, I'm all for tattoos and freedom of expression, but how could she honestly not know it is illegal for a 10 year old to get inked and WHY would the tattoo "artist" ink a 10 year old?!

WTF?! Wow!
His mom couldn't think of ANY. OTHER. way to remember his brother???
Maybe a T-SHIRT??? LOL

"What do you say to a child, who wants to remember his brother?"
Write a fucking poem, you're not getting a tattoo.

I had a friend in 7th grade whose mom allowed her to get a tattoo. Her mom also allowed her to get several piercings. The girl was like 11 or 12. Talk about really bad parenting.

This is wrong. A friend of mine (former best friend who's psycho)let her then 12 year old get piercings and a tattoo and said she did it because he wanted it. Need I mention he's now 22 and spoiled?
What tattoo artist did this? Shouldn't they get in trouble too???

^ No. Why should the artist get in trouble? His mom allowed him to, they probably had to sign a consent form or something. It's the same when people get face tattoos and realize it was a dumb as shit move, then they try suing the artist or shop. You signed to have this done to you, so why should anyone pay for that except you? Granted, that shit still cray. I could never allow my child to do something like that. He'd get a RIP t-shirt quick.

I know some tattoo artists and they would never tattoo a 10 yr old , no matter what the mom said. Im not saying he should be thrown in jail, but it's pretty unethical to tattoo a child. Face tattoos on an adult are a totally different story

Yeah, and some would. Regardless of ethics, you pay, you sign, you get what you asked for. At the end of the day I think it's entirely his mom's fault, cus the child couldn't have gone anywhere else on his own to get a tattoo.

That tattoo is going to look so fucking idiotic by the time that kid is 16 and has stretched the fuck out of it.
"Well done. Here are the test results: You are a horrible person. I'm serious, that's what it says: 'A horrible person.' We weren't even testing for that."

The tattoo artist should have their business license revoked. At least this is what happened to my friend. He is a tattoo artist in the UK, tattooed a girl who brought photo ID saying she was 19 to the tattoo, and because the photocopier was broken that day, he didnt have a copy. Turns out the girl was 17 and her parents complained to the police. He had his business license revoked and was fined. 17 pretending to be 19 is one thing, however, a TEN year old! That is a joke! What kind of mother allows that!? I wasnt allowed my ears pierced till i was ten, and my 16th birthday present was my belly button piercing with the stipulation that my Dad took me, looked over the studio, came in and saw the utensils being taken out of their sterile packaging and took me home again after it was done! (16 seems really young to me now lol, im reading that thinking, crikey, 16, i was a baby!!)

10 is wayyyy to young! I got my first tattoo at 15, but it was in a tat parlor in Juarez, Mexico. They should make the mother get "IDIOT" tatted on her forehead.

I don't think they went to a legitimate shop. I saw the video, and the tattoo looks homemade.
His mother said that she thought it was okay because she gave her consent. While certain states allow a minor to be tattooed with their parents' consent (some just say minor, others specifically say 17) Georgia is not one of those states.
Georgia: Prohibits the tattooing of anyone under age 18 by anyone other than a licensed osteopath or technician acting under the direct supervision of a licensed physician or osteopath
