Default favorite purple or blue conditioner for fried blonde hair?

What's the best one you've used? I liked something I bought at my salon called davines alchemic conditioner, but I refuse to buy it again. (I somehow didn't notice until after I opened it that it contained milk protein, and I'm a vegan.)

It seems easier to find purple shampoos than purple conditioners, but I hate leaving shampoo in for 10 minutes and then leaving conditioner in for 10 minutes. And I only want to use shampoo if I have a good reason, like my hair is full of hardcore hairspray or weave glue remnants or something.

I LOVE using purple shampoo on my blonde hair!! I get the Clairol Shimmer Lights Conditioning Shampoo, it's a really moisturizing shampoo, but I like it because it's a conditioner as well, makes it easier to use. Even better, do you have a Sally's beauty supply near you? If so, they have a generic line that they carry with the identical shampoo as Clairol Shimmer Lights, but less expensive! I've had great luck with both of them so far!Hope that helps!

I agree with the Clairol Shimmer Lights line, and they also make a conditioner. Haven't tried it, but I use the shampoo whenever I shampoo (once or twice a week), and it works great.

Another vote for Clairol only because it's paraben free. As far as actual toning results...Nexxus is best.

I like the Blue Malva shampoo/conditioner from Aveda, it's really moisturizing and good at toning your hair. Pretty sure it's vegan... kinda expensive though. LUSH also makes a vegan purple shampoo.

Shimmer Lights does the job well, but it's kind of drying so you have to use a good conditioner.

The best thing I've found, conditioner-wise, is Kerastase deep conditioner in the yellow jar w/orange lid. Recommended to me by my former hairdresser, after two botched bleach/dye jobs, including one where I was allowed to leave salon w/bleach still on my hair. It's damn pricey, but worth it. if you buy off their web site, you get two free samples, unless they've changed that.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Colour Save Silver Shampoo

.. My hair dressor recommend this one when I kept on hair very light blonde. Before that it was Shimmer Lights that was recommend (cond) I didnt like it because I had to use regular cond on top of it after since it didnt do the job as a cond, but as a purple toner.

The Schwarzkopf Bonacure Colour Save Silver Shampoo is great.. It came in a liter bottle and it lasts a long time! Worth the buck.. I mix it with my regular shampoo and add a little of the purple, leave it on for 5 mins or so, and you'll notice an improvement within 2 weeks if you use it everything other wash or so.

Vegan or not, Aveda's Blue Malva is the best fucking toning conditioner product on the market.

Lush's purple shampoo dyed my hair cotton candy pink in a bunch of spots... and it wouldn't come out for 2.5 weeks. Insane.

What ever you do, don't buy Jhirmack conditioner. It stinks, it's drying, etc.

On a side note, the best products for fried blonde hair (non-toning) fall into two categories:

Cheap & Good: L'Oreal Vive Pro Hydra Gloss Moisturizing Conditioner (and the shampoo is awesome too!!) for *Very Dry Hair*

Expensive & Great: Kerastase Resistance Ciment Anti-Usure, Vita-Ciment Topseal Conditioner

Wow, so many responses so fast! Thanks girls!

I think I'm going to order the Blue Malva conditioner. Under $20, no gross ingredients, and recommended by 2 SWers. I've used the Shimmer Lights, and agree w/Kisca that it works fine as a toner, but doesn't do much to condition. I'm assuming the Blue Malva is heavier/more moisturizing?

I love Matrix So Silver. I used to be blonde, and omg, it was amazing. If I would use it too many days per week, my hair would look almost too blonde. My stylist recommended using it just once or twice a week, and it was perfect. It used to be like $18, but I used it like 2 years ago, and as I'm looking online, I'm finding it for like half the price it used to be.

I used to work in an Aveda salon, never got a chance to try it, but always heard the Blue Malva was great!
Also, to help with the dryness and damage of your hair, not positive if it's vegan though, but Joico K Pak reconstructor and deep conditioners always helped a TON with my hair when it was fried. I always use a Keratin serum for my hair as well. Pearatin worked really good! Made my hair feel a million times softer and also smells really nice.
I like the Clairol shimmer lights for toning, but it really doesn't do much for moisturizing.

just be careful with certain cheaper conditioners as some may turn your hair green or greyish purple. i had a friend that had white blonde hair that turned greyish.

Hey, I thought about this thread, was wanting the John Frieda blond shampoo, I have the conditioner..so the stuff went up, like a dollar (I know I'm cheap). I spotted Jhirmack Silver + Ageless Shampoo, it says for blond, highlighted, grey hair, w/antioxidants & coq10. It was only 4.99, I'm now waiting for the dye on my roots to develop, then I will use it to wash my hair
    Also, they have conditioner..http://alleghanypharmacal.com

Ok, didn't really like the Jhirmack..I was looking for the John Frieda (they've two blonde types of shampoo/conditioners, 1 supposed to show "immediate contrast" the other gradual lightening..neither have peroxide/amonia).
I got the JF enhancing shampoo, highlight activating, for darker blonds. Have to wait a bit, just did roots/shampoo'd twice last night.

Toni & Guy have some great deep conditioners that really hydrate the hair.
Phyto - you can find in Sephora - the have serums that take the frizz out.
I agree with the Kerastase recommendation - the one in the orange tub did wonders for my hair, and smells good too
