Running yes. Great cardio, I would run at least 30 minutes per day. This is great for toning your inner thighs and all leg muscles. I would combine that with this workout a "brazilian butt lift" exercise it burns..lol but that means it's working ( after your workouts have a protein shake to help your muscles grow). Last, eat a healthy diet, lots of fruits, veggies, protein and water) this gives you the energy to maintain your workouts.

Pace yourself. 4 days a week is good, and only every other day. You'll need time to rest in between. For example Monday, Wed, Fri, and Sun. Also very important to stretch after any workout. I've suffered what felt like torn muscles for working out everyday, you DON'T want that. hehe

Here's a stretch vid . I realized you feel best when you KNOW you look good. Go for it girl !

You should check out ZAGGORA HOTPANTS , I have 2 pairs, shorts & Capri flares!
If you wear them everyday whilst working out or even just going about your day, they help you lose 2 jean sizes! Now I haven't lost that much yet, but since going on cam, I've been wearing mine every morning when I'm on the treadmill, I have lost a few centimetres off my legs!! And the cellulite is just about non existant!!! I'm madly in love with mine, they can be expensive but they're SOOOO worth it, try groupon for deals on them, that's where I got my first pair.

Ifyoh need rewards to feel you've done something, work out wise, these are for you- you'll be dripping in sweat under them!! They are amazing, adds that extra oomph!! X

So to update. I went to the gym this morning, super early. Had wheatabix with banana for breakfast about an hour 1/2 beforehand, then did 15 mins on the step machine/ runner thingy. Warmed up for 5 mins, ran/ stepped fast for 2 mins, steadier pace for2 mins, faster, and so on. Then I did a lot of the leg muscle machines, some lunges and squats while holding dumbells (looked an idiot lol!), and I also did some arm muscle machines and about 20 ab crunches. In total i worked out for 45 mins. I wasn't dripping with sweat, in fact the worst part was about middway through my session on the stepper. Heart rate was 154 at max... is this good/ bad?

Tomorrow I'm going to try the butt workout. Wish me luck! lol

^ your maximum heart rate should be no more than 220-your age. A higher HR is supposed to be good for cardiovascular and a slightly lower HR is supposed to be good for fat burning. You should meet with a gym instructor (different than a personal trainer) at your gym and they can put together a work out plan for you and show you how to use everything and then you won't feel silly.

Thanks Jessie. I had the whole intro to the gym and machines thing when i joined. I will feel daft no matter what until i am one of those super toned, slim, fab looking women who you wonder why are in the gym in the first place!
