    Default Good clubs in Sydney?

    Hi everyone.

About 6 mths ago I danced in a Sydney club for a couple of months. It was okay, but my boss wasn't very understanding of my situation and so it didn't work out.
I am doing a lot better now and looking to return to full-time study soon..So now I am considering going back to dancing to help support myself through study.

Anyway, can you recommend any good clubs in Sydney? Other then Men's Gallery? I had tried out for them before my first job and I didn't make it. I've done some modelling and am a better dancer than I was before..but I am not sure if I should give them another try.

    Is Showgirls any good?

    Thanks xx

Why didn't they hire you? If you're modeling you probably look amazing! Did they give you any reasons? What were the other girls like? I'm just curious because I am contemplating dancing and wanted to try my luck in Sydney too! X

I have never worked in Sydney, but I have heard that there is good money to make at Bada Bing. I have been to Show Girls (another Kings Cross club) which was okay. And Minx (in the city, and they cater to the upper class clientele) seemed clean and the staff were polite. I have also heard some good things about Sefton Playhouse (which is a bit further out), but have never been there.

I was not impressed with Men's Gallery (or Pure Platinum).

^ LOL terra obvious youve never worked in sydney before coz youre sooooo wrong!
i have worked in most of these and know a lot of people whom also worked there too.
dancing in sydney is shit and has been for awhile. showgirls and dreamgirls are okay but the management is a headache and its flooded with girls for such small clubs. ppmgdc is also flooded with girls. i heard bad things about bada bing and my friend was working at sefton on the night it got held up [again]

    feel free to trial though

I prefer MG over PP. But apparently Dancer's Cabaret (owned by the same club) earns way better. At the end you really gotta see for yourself.
What others think is bad, might be what you like. But I'm sorry you didn't make it in MG!

Sydney has gone seriously downhill over the past 10 years (yes I know most places in the world have too). Your best bets would be private agency work as a lingerie waitress or doing bucks party shows.

Otherwise Minx club (next to Men's Gallery) is ok.

I second what was said about Kings Cross... very dodgy and expect to do extras if you want to make anything.

LOL good luck with MINX I walked out last week. Besides being mostly empty. The dancers are most all fat backpackers with no class & the clubs more intrested in doing "Book outs" $400 an hour (club takes 60%) any customer take a dancer off the venue for a "private date" where they expect/demand sex. I nearly found this out the hard may but management didnt seem to care. So much wrong with that place & the only thing classy there is the furnisher!

Im moving from Brisbane (Love and Rockets) to Sydney in 2 weeks to pursue my dream career.... However I know I will need to dance to still make good money Im working in Bondi Junction so only 2 train stops from the cross, and going to be living in North Parramatta..... These things I'm hearing seem awful, now I'm scared!! I usually would make in a week around 1500 at LnR, is that realistic to imagine in Sydney? Also, although Im used to touching, I dont want to work at a club where there are "extras" or leaving the club with a customer!! :/ If anyone knows LnR, what kind of club would suit me in Syd???

You can easily make 1500 a week in Sydney if you're hot. Pure Platinum and Men's Gallery have a shitload of fees/rules but there is money to be made. I danced there a few years back and could make that in 3 nights guaranteed. For example, if you sell a 15 minute shower show that is $160 and you get $110 from that after fees, pretty easy to sell them on a saturday when I was there, usually to groups. If you do really bad for some reason you at least are guaranteed a $250 retainer (on Saturdays).

Bada Bing likes to promote itself as a nightclub too, for that reason I would never work there, don't want to deal with female customers and teenagers with no money. Showgirls now has police security cameras installed so I think it has lost business because of that.
